Absolutely nothing!

The hotel didn’t look anything special from the front however our room was newly and tastefully decorated with a beautiful bathroom. The room was at the rear but overlooked the bay and pool. We were offered early check in, staff were lovely and helpful. Wish we were able to stay longer

Description of my 2 BR was not very accurate, I did expect to sip the vine and watch the sunset and water from my #7 porch... and swimming pool needs some shades, the sun is just too much burning there and no escape if you want enjoy without being 'fryied" ...

The place is in a heavenly spot, with a private beach, turquoise water, and an an amazing view. Problems: the suite could be cozier (take off the neon light in the room!), and cleaning is needed every day, not just once in 3 days (we begged for it). It is definitely a beautiful place to have a Florida Keys getaway--but the rate is incompatible with the level of accommodation and services.

Convenient location in Key Largo with a small outdoor pool, beautiful spot for watching the sunset and a small sandy beach with kayaks to borrow.

Our room unfortunately was at the front so didn’t have a view . Would definitely look to book a room at the rear next time overlooking the beach.

To go to the shop/restaurant, you had to cross a very busy road.

The pool was at a good temperature with comfortable seats. The beach was on the property with an excellent view on the sunset, de manatee was a surprise. Parking was very easy.

Sofa was not the most comfortable.

Rock Reef is a comfortable, typical "Old Florida" motel-type resort, and shows her age. Staff and owner all very helpful. Location fantastic. Good shower, full kitchen, large TV, good wifi (until it failed on our last day). Probably the best feature is the porch looking across the gardens to the Bay. Many iguanas entertained us each day. Nice pool and free use of canoes and SUP were a bonus.

Temperature of the pool was too warm for a refreshing dip, but I prefer colder water; We stayed on the ground floor and were awoken by guests rising early above us - we could hear them walking around - not sure that the property's claim of sound proofed rooms is accurate.

Great location - straight across the road to a gem of a restaurant, straight across the road to a great coffee/breakfast shop & a 2 minutes walk to a service station which sold all essentials. Nice grounds with lovely outlook & jetties towards the ocean and sunset. Plenty sun loungers, picnic tables, chairs to enjoy the sunset. Clean secure fenced pool area. Kayaks and pedalo also available for guests to use free of charge. Beach towels provided.

Decor, fixtures and fittings getting tired. Obviously a fairly old building (by US standards). Having said that, our experience elsewhere in the Keys showed that this was typical of other hotels/motels. Quite expensive for what you get by normal standards, but par for the course in the Keys, where everything tends to be expensive.

Good location, and easy to find (thanks to the large sign outside, which you can see as you approach the property). Staff helpful on checking-in. They had had a problem where they had found the a/c unit in the room wasn't working, so they had rigged-up a stand-alone unit. It wasn't pretty, and the temperature at the time meant that we didn't actually use it, but at least they made the effort. Room was plenty big enough for our 2 night stay. Bed & pillows fine. Never got to use the pool but it looked fine. Nice property, leading down to the shore with nice views. No food available but there are plenty of options just a short drive away.

The location was great. We loved the water front, we watched dolphins and saw a beautiful sunset. The restaurant across the road great and so convenient. The staff was very welcoming.

I was hoping for a 30-minute swim before checking out but after 5 minutes the pool maintenance folks kicked me out to add chemicals. They should do this later in the day.

Loved villa #9. Spectacular view right out the porch door. Porch swing was lovely. Exceptionally clean unit, and very friendly staff. Getting to meet and chat with the owner was priceless. Got to kayak and snorkel with a manatee as well!!

Our room needed more windows. One small window was not enough. I would unblock the side window and/or add a full window entry door. Also, I would install room-darkening curtains and garment hooks in the main room.

Quaint small local property with a small private beach, and all the manatees one would need. Don’t expect nothing luxurious but expect anything one would need.

Nothing - we expected the old Florida style hotel and loved its character

We flew into Miami to drive to the keys. This was a rest stop on the way to key west. The view and the free parking attracted us.
