How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Easy access off Interstate, nice room with seating area. Continental breakfast. Although not requested, given handicap room, so more spacious than a standard room. Staff were friendly and polite.

The rooms that showed online (remodeled and updated) was not the room I received. Big let down as the rate should reflect the room featured/booked.
The staff where amazing! The night time attendant (Rashawn) on duty aided me in a call about a neighboring room. He was prompt and most accommodating. Ketta greeted me every morning at the breakfast area with her bright and vibrant self. She was truly a ray of sunshine and even was kind enough to ask to get a waffle started for me every morning! Her presence and conversation was truly 5 star. Fabiola the day time receptionist was also very kind and pleasant to work with as she assisted me with rekeying my card and checking me out of my stay.

Room was a bit small, tv audio was harsh, sounded like a tin can. Noise from neighboring rooms was excessive. Our window rattled when the room next door slammed something which went on for a couple of minutes

The first 2 rooms I was sent to hadn’t been made up yet and I was really tired so it was bad first impression. The website I booked said much closer to airport than it was so more expensive taxi - disappointing.

Daily housekeeping never showed up (even upon request) & our keycard stopped working twice making it difficult to get into the lobby and room.
Breakfast was good for value (waffles, drinks, eggs), spacious rooms with storage, good location with nearby stores (gas station, diner), friendly staff, entry to motel required key card at night (ensuring safety), cozy seating area in lobby, soaps/shampoo provided in bathroom, efficient heating system.

The rooms were old and outdated. The Beds were very uncomfortable. I did not feel very safe leaving our vehicle overnight. Parking was horrible. Parking stalls too small for larger vehicles.

The staff was extremely rude towards me, offensive and commented rude remarks after they asked where I was from. Everything is so outdated, my husband and I had 4 suitcases (we are moving) and there was no elevator.
The location was perfect since we had an early morning flight

No refrigerator and no microwave. Worst though: room smelled very strongly of Faabreese? Couldn't get the smell out. The fan/AC/Heater device knocked around like a bad fan belt in an old chevy --- way too loud. I took the cover off which solved it but then didn't want to trip on it. No tripping is a good motto for life, literally and metaphorically. But I digress.
Great location near Black Bear Diner, freeway, not a bad area. Security night staff letting people in. Breakfast was very little, but staff very pleasant in kitchen area. Only had been working there for 15 days, and has a great attitude.

Very basic. Felt a little unsafe, especially in the parking lot.
Easy to find and close to shopping and restaurants. Staff was very friendly.

The staff hessie charged my card for 2 deposits and said she didn’t but my banking app notified me each transaction.

Wi-Fi hard to get in our Room. Didn't work without moving around to just the right spot. There were no cups in the room for Coffee OR tea, "Breakfast" had no fruit available, and there were minimal options. (cereal, pastries, do it yourself waffles) It's possible at was just gone already after 2hrs of being available, but we still had an hour B4 it was over and hotel was not full.
