Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

You can only put so much lipstick on a pig, meaning the facade of the hotel looks nice, but it won’t feel modernized until the bones are refurbished. Bathroom specifically comes to mind. But of course, they will probably increase prices if they redo the Also, breakfast was completely gone before 10am. Came in at 9:45 and there was literally nothing left. If breakfast runs until 10am, keep food out until 10am. Frustrating.
This hotel is an old motel that Sage has given a facelift. Overall, they’ve done a good job. Check in/out process was easy. Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Pets are allowed with a $25 per pet per night fee. Location was good, we thought. Overall, good value for the price we paid.

We love this hotel and location.
Staff and location are important for us. For this trip, a pet friendly hotel was a huge need.

coffee ran out at 9 am at breakfast, hair dryer inoperable, vanity area sink was slow draining, homeless man going through trash bag of garbage left out by?, another trash bag left out was leaking paper which was blowing around parking area.

Bathrooms felt outdated . The hotel looks like a remodeled motel especially the bathroom
Breakfast was amazing with good amount of options and a beautiful dining area, Rooms have an artistic look and very close within 5 mins to downtown Santa Fe. They have updated technology for check in and checkout and very friendly staff. There is a 15% off for people who dine in the restaurant next to the checkin area which has amazing food and live music

The bar staff could be a little more polite to guests.
Great value for your money! Plus, the breakfast is included. The location is good and there’s a Whole Foods market just around the corner. The breakfast staff was great, attentive and helpful! Also, we really enjoyed the daily night events at the bar.

The breakfast was great. The gentleman working in this area was attentive, there were lots of warm options and the salsa was freshly made. The rooms are not large but well appointed, clean and comfortable

We had a room with a door to adjoining room and we could here their normal tone conversation. 😒
The check in was smooth. Front desk gal was friendly, breakfast was GREAT. Ample parking, easy to find our room.

The shower curtain had a scrubbing towel hanging there from past guests it even had some hairs. Since it's close to one of the main streets the trucks noise is so loud all day and night.
Rooms are modern and in good shape, I loved that it had a Keurig in the room since I always travel with my K Cups everywhere. Breakfast was hot and delicious every day. Perfect and affordable hotel for a family.

The noise from outside, of city and parking lot made it difficult to sleep at times. I would bring a sound machine next time.
Breakfast and location were good, availability of shuttle was excellent. Leroy was exceptional! He is a delight and was very helpful.

I asked for handicap accessible and they said they could only put us upstairs. My partner isn’t in a walker but has difficulty walking as well as a car pass. When they found out we had a dog, a handicap room downstairs was suddenly available. Other than that the hotel was fine.

It could go for quite a few updates on little things like a door knob on the bathroom door, caulking around the bath tub, paint... The rooms are pretty small if you get a 2 queen. We had to put the baby's bed right next to the bathroom sink and door. It just didn't seem that amazing for the price that you pay.
The staff were great! The lobby bathroom is extremely clean and nice to go in.
