Beds are a little small but ok

Great area. So quiet and peaceful! Great for families, couples, or a retreat for yourself. Easy to bicycle around, lots of fun scenic trails. Definitely a new returning vacation spot for our family!

The bed and bed sheets weren’t the most comfortable. The sheets were almost too thin and I could feel the roughness of the bed underneath.

The beds were too springy/bouncy and were difficult for my kids and I to get a good nights sleep in. The rooms were clean, but pretty dated and could use an update. There were lots of small cosmetic issues throughout the bathroom and room.

The staff were wonderful. They were pleasant and helpful. The fire pit was also a nice addition to the end of our night. The location was fantastic! There was such an ease of access to the quaint downtown area and the local beaches. We also enjoyed how close we were to the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary. It was quiet and very safe.

Door to bathroom was unwieldy, sink was in separate room. Room was on the small side the flower bed near front door prevented access for guests with mobility issues.

The flooring in the kitchen area was really rough and in need of replacement. I would definitely recommend you bring flip flops. We couldn’t find a place to dispose of our recyclables, trash or dog waste.

The staff was very nice. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans and utensils. The location is perfect! You are within walking distance to the beach and downtown Pacific Grove.

I like the customer service from both the man who checked me in and out and Annette the lady who was Johnny on the spot to help we with a question. Very nice friendly staff. I also love the fire pit! I will stay there again!

Breakfast was not provided even at this price. The bathroom access for main room is through other bedroom which is awkward. Could have separate bathroom for main room guests. The location is little far from downtown.

Location was close to asilmar state beach and convenient for morning walk but little far from downtown. The room was spacious and comfortable. Liked separate full bed room for privacy with kids who stayed in other room with two queen beds.

There was no closet, but just a little clothing rack in the same little little room with the microwave, refrigerator, and the only sink. There was no sink in with the toilet and shower. But it was all doable.

The room had a strong smell of cleaning solution that lasted for several days despite running a fan and opening all windows. A dresser and towel racks would have been useful.

The cheaper room didn't have air conditioning and we ran a fan the whole time. ( can be kinda loud )

Monterey is our favorite place to visit but can be pricey. We have found the MP is the perfect location, clean, super friendly staff, and affordable. The rooms are big, shower water is hot, and bed is comfy. We have done their cheapest room and their upgraded room with a kitchen. It's worth the upgrade if you can afford it!

Price is pretty high considering it’s a motel layout and rooms are small (King size bed takes up most of the room). Also, door to room was not very hardy - a good boot to it probably would have knocked it in. Solo traveler so definitely think about those things. However, area is quiet and did feel safe.

Very quiet despite being a motel, rooms looks like they have been updated recently.

My only complaints about the room is that the set up of the bathroom is a little weird. The bathroom is small, and so is the shower. Plus, the sink is not in the bathroom. You have to come out and go into the other little space that has a sink and the mini fridge. These spaces are what separates the second bedroom. It's just a different configuration. This wouldn't deter me from staying here again though.

We rented a family bungalow for our family of 5. The fact that you don't share a wall with neighbors is nice. The beds were super comfortable, and the location and staff were great. Loved they had an outdoor fire pit and jacuzzi. Also, they are pet friendly, which was important to me. Would definitely recommend staying here again.

Wood be good to have some stools at the other side of beds. Marking shampoo or soap in the bath. More small lights and maybe some partition between beds. Big light goes off for everyone at the same time.

Pacific Grove is a great place to visit and the stay at Montery Peninsula Inn was awesome, and the lady at the reception desk was very accommodating. Thank you.

Montery Peninsula Inn is more like a motel and the cost should be adjusted, but still a nice place to stay.

There was a few things that were a little concerning. There was about a 2 inch gap under my main door. I was a single female and you could easily see inside my room from the outside. I put a towel once I was inside to make sure no one could see in or no critters came through. Other thing was the blinds were broken causing them to sag and not shut fully. Again, I was uncomfortable with this and had to rig it a little to make sure no one could see in.

Pet friendly with no breed or weight restrictions. They had a handy cap accessible room for my grandparents. The front desk staff were both very friendly both very friendly and inviting each time I encountered them.
