While the hotel's location is near some of San Francisco's less secure areas, Hotel Spero ensures safety as I felt safe every time I entered the hotel. Though the room wasn't completely soundproof, they provided earplugs for a more comfortable stay.

We had a great experience at Hotel Spero. The hotel's design and room were awesome, the staff was friendly, and everything was clean. I especially loved the complimentary coffee and tea stand every morning. Our room had a beautiful view, and the location near Union Square was perfect. I would choose to stay here again.

Lots of people suffer from addiction in the neighborhood, living on the streets.

The hotel is renovated and the rooms are clean. They have good coffee in the lobby.

Staff were really welcoming, and they did little extra touches like free reusable water bottle and eye mask. I had only one night so didn't get to try any of the facilities unfortunately. Room was beautiful.

The restaurant attached to the hotel did not seem that good. Was extremely over priced, which is why we decided to eat elsewhere during our stay.

Loved the decor of the inside of the building. Wasn't expecting it to be so nice based on the location. Don't let the location fool you. Staff was really nice. Room was nice and we had a partial view of the city. The parking garage right next door was a plus. Would definitely come back here again!

There was a lot of poop on the sidewalk! There were many homeless people very close to the hotel.

the size of the bathroom was not acceptable for the standar of the hotel that is advertised. you had to close the door to be able to use the bathroom it made the bathroom to become very very claustrophobic space It would be nice to have access to coffee machine in the room,

the location it was well located and easy to get to close to the union Square but quite a distance from other attractions. received water bottle but just one for 2 guests ,,,, strange. internet was great and worked well, staff were friendly and helpful

Although the location was great for getting around on public transport and walking to nearby attractions, it was difficult to see homeless people living on the nearby streets. We felt safe walking past them but its good to be vigilant. We weren't aware of a deposit to be paid on arrival so the extra couple hundred dollars was an unexpected cost. It would have been good to know about this in advance so that we could plan our travel budget.

The room was comfortable and clean, staff were so friendly and helpful. We really appreciated the free morning coffee in the hotel lobby, and the gym was so handy to use during our stay. Great location for it's connectivity to other parts of the city.

If you love eating or drinking something hot or warm in your room, you will find the experience less appealing since there’s no coffee maker or microwave in the room. The heater doesn’t seem to be working very well either. But overall still very nice experience.

Classy hotel and innovated very well. Friendly and helpful staff. Gym 24 hours and spacious. Garage parking next door whip is very convenient.

The cost is a bit expensive. The next important thing that needs to be improved is to avoid the noise from other rooms. It is because the room is not sound proofed. Majorities of hotels provide brushes, toothpaste, boiling stuff, drinking water at the room, which are missing.

There is no comment about the room, location and cleanness. All are good. To look at the city view, this hotel could be an alternative hotel. The hotel is also attractive. Staff are friendly.

Not much, but bear in mind, there IS a deposit in additional to everything els...even if you prepay for the room. Definitely a hotel you would want to stay at if you don't have a car.

The room is very nice, comfortable and in a very central location. The staff is very. Great views. I didn't try the adjoining restaurant. Short walk to BART, transit, etc.
