The night rain hit a metal box outside our room and was very loud! While we liked our street front rooms for rocking and watching passers-by, I think on a future trip, I'd like to be farther back in the property . The bathroom was complete and clean, but tiny.

Very relaxed. The hosts were great! They have bicycles on premise to use. The five pools are great for more privacy. Our room used to be a cigar rolling room...high ceilings, great front porch. Nice breakfasts served to your table from a menu of available items. Fun projects during happy hour!

It's a 70-100 year old cottage so it's not up to a modern hotel standards but still pleasant.

Great location, very lush and green. Staff is outstanding, very accommodating. We were in one of the cottages. Definitely an older bldg but decorated nicely but still older, had no problems! We were glad to have stayed there and would not have changed that decision.

Shower water temperature was luke warm at best. No bar service once Happy Hour is over.

Location is close to Duvall Street activity but the cottages provide a buffer that creates a very secluded feeling once on the grounds. The multiple pools were great - very inviting and refreshing. Our room was in the "mansion" at the very back of the property and we had a huge balcony with seating for 4 people. Huge bathroom. Comfortable bed.

All amazing. Nothing bothered us.

Amazing historic location in the middle of the old town. Super tranquil environment with lots of orchids, flowers, palm trees in the garden. 4 nice pools and very beautifully restored rooms and cottages. Also good breakfast provided every morning and amazing hosts either great tips for trips, i.e. the sunset sailing boat cruise! Thanks to the great team at Simonton for making our stay so great.

Patio off room could use a facelift We didn’t use it but think there is a lot more potential to create an inviting atmosphere

Location was the best-just off main busyness of Duval and could walk everywhere. Loved the historic vibe, garden pathway and even breakfast was quick and delicious

Breakfast. Seemed limited in its options and most of what was offered was pre prepared and then reheated, including the toasts. The cheese option was string cheese! Boiled eggs were cold.

Room given was an amazingly large space and beautifully presented. The grounds are amazing, the location is perfect - a short stroll away from all the important areas but far enough to be away from the hullabaloo of the party atmosphere.

Not enough outlets in the room and sadly none close to the bed for charging my phone.

Charming landscaping. Lovely breakfast outdoors by the pool. Wonderful friendly service. Excellent location. Right near the loud fun of Duval Street but you would never know it once you enter the locked gate into a magical quiet oasis.

I loved everything, but it is not a cheap stay, but it’s worth the money

My second time there. It’s fabulous and unique and private and quiet. The staff is superb. The facility is authentic and beautiful yet funky. The landscaping makes you feel like you’re in a jungle with creature comforts.

There was nothing i disliked about the place

We loved the location. Jonathan who pretty much handled everything was great. I spoke to him several times, to set up parking. He took my luggage to the room and was just great. The grounds keeper does a tremendous job keeping the garden looking beautiful. He took pictures for my wife and was very proud of his accomplishments.

*Toiletries could be in bigger refillable bottles to reduce plastic *The amount of single use plastic at breakfast, as customers do not actually access the items at breakfast, reducing the little plastic pots for yogurt, peanuts butter, jams, butter etc could be stopped by staff dispensing this in the kitchen and therefore reduce plastic use.

*Location was fantastic *Staff were really friendly and helpful *The swimming pools were fantastic and heated so can be enjoyed all year round and you can swim in the evening *Fantastic range of mini bar items nuts, chocolate etc *Gardens are so pretty and well maintained *Really clean in communal areas *Complimentary water bottles *Places to sit in rooms and on their balcony’s *locally sourced toiletries to reduce carbon footprint

I loved the gardens, the lighting at night, the furry friends, and the wait staff. My room was cozy and incredibly quiet, just like advertised. The location was so convenient to everything; restaurants, shopping and walking the neighborhoods. Everyone went out of their way to make sure I was spoiled, since it was my birthday present to myself. I was pleasantly surprised with a bottle of prosecco.
