Per room a 250 deposit requires even though we paid the full room rate in advance. Walls are a bit thin, so expect some noise from other guests.

No elevator. Very hard to lift your bags up and down. A lovely man named Frank did help when we insisted. But the receptionist checking in wasn’t very helpful.

The coffee in the lobby was fabulous! Also the room inc the shower was very nicely designed!

The rooms are dated even with its modern appearance. The room had minor wear and tear from previous guest. I think the rooms could use a more thorough cleaning. Also, the heating unit would make since squeaking noises.

The staff were all so kind, the location is great and felt very safe.

The bathrooms need a refresh and an update - it wouldn't be hard to make them nicer and use the space better. The keyless entry with app was very capricious and we ended up needing physical keycards

The Sohotel is a quirky boutique hotel. The minute you walk in you get a sense of the unique style through the eclectic decor. Staff are friendly and approachable. Complimentary coffee and tea in the morning is much appreciated. We were a party of 4 in a double queen room (room 219). Fairly small space with a tiny but serviceable bathroom for four people. We stayed 6 or so nights and were fairly comfortable - you have to manage the space a bit in a room like this but overall we enjoyed ourselves (we were out most of the time so being in the room was just for the end of each day). Some people have complained about the hissing heater - it does hiss, but that didn't bother us. We would definitely stay again if only for the fabulous location near Little Italy, Chinatown, Soho, Lower East Side - a quick walk to the two bridges (Brooklyn and Manhattan) and subway all around. You can't really go wrong

No frills, clean, central hotel. Modern young vibes, good if you do not particularly appreciate traditional, more formal hotels. We had a massive (35 square meter) family room for four: super quiet!

No proper storage for clothes in the room. There for a week and nowhere to put stuff other than two rails on the wall. Would prefer if room services was a given rather than having to request it.

Funky decor. Easy access with app. Bathroom had double sinks, which is great when sharing.

Great boutique hotel in the heart of Soho

Maybe they could provide sweetener for the coffee in the lobby. Other than that, I really didn't have complaints. I thought it was a nice boutique hotel.

The Sohotel is a charming, boutique hotel on Broome Street. We drove into the city and parked at a lot 3 blocks away. The hotel will validate your parking ticket so that you get a reduced rate. The front desk staff was friendly and the room was spacious enough for the city. Also, there was not outside noise at all at night, which made it easy to sleep. There was coffee in the morning in the lobby, which was also a nice touch. Overall, I recommend this hotel. The location is great, just blocks from Chinatown and Little Italy and we shopped in Soho.

Window was defective and wouldn't close properly. Desk sent someone to close it but told & daren't trying opening again. Not the biggest room for 3-4 people plus luggage, but acceptable. Places to put luggage, or hang coats / wardrobe? Although an industrial pipe with hangers was available and in fitting with decor.

Lovely boutique style hotel, friendly staff, and close to amenities. Clean and tidy, nice touch of having coffee/tea making in foyer and loved the ice machine. Small fridge would have been nice touch.
