Called for batteries and no one ever showed up to help after speaking with front office staff. There was a horrible smell of fish in the freezer that made most of the food and ice smell like rotting fish. Purchased baking soda for freezer and fridge. Water in the bathroom was brown. Had to use spring water to brush our teeth and to cook. Water in the master bath was better.

The view from the villa was spectacular. Grounds is beautiful. Had a private firework display, AMAZING!!! Great weekend away and completely worth it. Can't wait to come back.

We had a couple miscommunication with staff when switching rooms which led to less than desirable wait time. Also found two open bottles of liquor in the townhouse when we got in (under bed and in bathroom)

Location was great had enough room in the townhouses for children to sleep and adults to stay up and relax

While the carriage seemed to be updated from the pictures that were online, as we stayed we found it to be dirtier than at first sight. There was animal hair on the beds, in the washing machine and dryer (which didn’t dry very well at all). When we got back at night we took our shoes off to relax and our socks were black from the floors.

We stayed in the carriage house which was bigger than expected and perfect for 3 kids as they weren’t bothering any neighbors. There were family games available which our kids loved as well.

Spa bath in bedroom broken. Had part of the broken chrome sitting on the tub. You can take a bath but don't use the spa bubbles because it shoots onto the floor. I'm sure it is most likely not in every room on the property but ours was broken. Should have a sign on it that it is out of order. Also, on this tub the hot water valve was cold water and the cold water valve say's hot water. Feel bad because we forgot to leave a tip for cleaner.. We were there because we had been taking care of father in hospital and had family here to watch him while we get away for a couple of days. He ended up dying 2 days later after we got back so our minds were thinking a lot about him while there plus on phone with doctors a lot and we forgot to leave a tip. Felt bad about that. Room was clean.

Location was great. Staff friendly. Like all the room. Didn't use the kitchen but would be handy if we stayed longer.

This is our second visit to Sun Castle.Good service.Friendly staff.We stayed at the townhouse with an amazing view.We were very happy with our stay.

The view from the villa was spectacular! There’s no room in the kitchen to store snacks or use the minimal counter space as the microwave and coffee maker are on it. The beds were comfy but walls are thin and could hear anyone walking by or hanging out in the condos while we slept - even with the windows closed. It got cold at night even with heat on so wish we brought slippers.the cost was a bit steep for 2 nights but you pay for the best view of the lake!

The chalet we initially booked had an ill fitting storm door and the whole unit was filled with flies and a kitchen not updated since the 1950s with a rust filled door on the Fridge. Bathrooms and bedrooms very clean but the last family’s kids handprints all over the windows so it could have been cleaned much better. When we got to the townhouse there was only rocks for a sidewalk and it was filled with mud for the whole week. Also the townhouse was missing a tv remote and did not have internet tv so Netflix. But beautiful in every other way!

Loved the location and the staff was great. They moved us immediately because we had some problems with our unit. The townhouse was great ! Pool was great ! Kayaks and exercise room were a huge plus !

View beautiful. Room nice. They had a wedding that day and at night there were fireworks set off on the lake right outside our room! Awesome!!! Very quiet during the day which was relaxing. Looked like we were the only ones there but it was a Monday and in mid May. I'm sure the place is booked solid after Memorial Day.

The room was dirty. There was toothpaste smeered on bathroom vanity. The walkway was washed out. There was only two sets of towels for a room that was supposed to accommodate 6. The beds had old, uncomfortable mattresses. The unit was very outdated and, overall, not a good value for the cost of a night.
