    No restaurants within walking distance...

Iconic Neon Sign out front was nice and the room was very cozy with a comfortable bed. Thoughtful details included a welcome bag of mandarins and pastries... fluffy towels, good soap and shampoo... rubber ducky..... bedside retro-lamps were cool. Internet worked just fine! The owners were real friendly folks.

    Nothing, everything was great!

Very friendly staff/owners, enjoyed chatting with them for a bit. They were cooking, and it smelled really good, made me have to go find something to eat! Clean room, very comfortable, located along Route 66. I very much enjoyed my stay here!

The only downside was the 2 pastries in my breakfast bag were old and crumbly, got more on me than in me

I always stay here when I'm coming through town, cozy rooms, great location, good value

A great stay! You can tell the staff cares about their customers stay. Nice personal touches like chocolate kisses and a note, homemade pastries for breakfast, a rubber duck to greet you in the shower. The room was clean and comfortable, the building was a bit outdated. A little pricey, but compared to the other options we were very satisfied. Would definitely book again.

Quaint and nostalgic, the decor was simple and tasteful. The Hershey kisses and breakfast treat bags were quite a welcoming surprise, even the little rubber ducky brought a smile to my face. I would recommend anyone to choose this business as their accomodation.

Like stepping back into the late 60s or early 70s, except the heat pump was quiet and nothing looked like it was an antique. The room was cute, the beds comfy. The owner was beyond welcoming and seemed to enjoy meeting people. While Bkfst was brown bagged there was coffee in the room, and the brown bag contained special pastries and fruit, which we made good use of. It was better than what we are used to getting at large chain hotels.

The room was clean and comfortable with an adequate supply of towels and toiletries. The carpet should be cleaned or replaced but otherwise very clean.

It is advertised as a continental breakfast, which was a prepared bag of two rolls and tangerines. I guess that might qualify as a continental breakfast.

The rooms were very simple but they were clean and had everything we needed. We rented the two room, 4 bed suite which was perfect for our large family but it only has one bathroom. We still enjoyed our time there and practiced our patience!

Sunset Motel was the perfect place to stay for our trip to Albuquerque for the balloon fiesta. It felt safer and quieter than trying to stay in Albuquerque and fit the Route 66 vibe of out whole trip. The owners were so kind and the whole place felt very retro and down to earth. The owner checked us in and gave us great recommendations for things to do nearby and tips for travel.

The room smelled a little musty, but I guess that's to be expected for a motel that's been open since 1959.

Owners were very accommodating and friendly. The rubber ducky was a surprising and fun touch.

We stay at this location when we travel through to Texas. They are very accommodating and the staff are so friendly. A couple of times, we have made special requests regarding the facility--and they have accommodated us every time. This particular time, we had an emergency and had to cancel after the "cancellation time" and they did not charge us. We will continue to stay at this property!
