Old smells. The fire alarm was going off during the first night, but no fire. It made it hard to sleep. Not enough tables to eat breakfast at.

They require a 50 dollar deposit per room that is not refundable for up to 10 days after check out. We had 2 rooms, so although the charge was less than 150, I was charged 250 and am still out 100 dollars until it is returned. Very odd practice I haven't encountered in years.

The location is only 20 minutes from Frankenmuth.

Parking lot needs to be resurfaced, the carpet by our room was coming up and we tripped several times, parking lot needed to be cleaned up had trash and glass.

First, I had to go through a bunch of crap to just get the room. You would think they were a 5 star hotel the way they were acting. The air conditioner in my room the cord was cut n taped in 2 different places, didn't even feel comfortable turning it on, for fear it would start a fire. My mirror was busted and the bed was so, broken in. I about fell through it. Pic to show busted mirror and how dark the room was.

The security door was never locked it was always open. Half of the lights in our room did not work. Terrible lighting in the bathroom you could not see to take a shower.

I was instantly annoyed after entering for check in. The employee was behind a glass wall, which had no sound transmission available. When he talked, I had to bend my head down to possibly hear what he was saying, through the pass thru window.The area seemed nice, but the glass wall made think it to be

The walls and floors were extremely thin so you could hear everything from the surrounding rooms. They were renovating so the corridors had a strong smell like glue from the carpet/baseboards. The ceiling of the room was dirty, with stains and with stuff hanging from it :(

Yes, there was a hole in the wall behind the door to the room. And one of the bed blankets had a burn hole in it. Also, definitely could use some new carpet, etc. But for the limited hours we were in the room (basically to sleep), it served its purpose and we had what we needed.

This was not the most posh hotel ... but what it lacked in "image" was MORE than made up for by the SUPER attentive and responsive staff! They made sure we had extra towels, an extra pillow, and extra coffee. The desk clerk told me that even though it was clear on the booking there would not be breakfast, he had gone out and purchased muffins, fruit, yogurt and bagels, as he knew people were coming to town for the State high school robotics tournament (and everything was there at 6 am so we could leave on time for the day)! I have stayed in bigger name hotels with fancier decor and not been treated this well. It was greatly appreciated.
