Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaNot much of a view in our room and the small raised area where the bathroom floor meets the bedroom floor is a tripping hazard. We put a white towel over it to remind us to step up when we got up in the night. They might want to paint it or fill in the gap between floor levels.
We liked the retro decoration of the room. It was very colorful and cheerful as well as practical. Even through the hotel did not provide meals, there were casual places nearby to have a simple meal. It was also a short taxi ride to our cruise terminal so convenient.

United States of AmericaThe only downside is that it's a thin blanket so it's a little colder than we'd prefer. And we would like to add a table for a coffee machine in the room. We used it on the floor since we didn't have a place near electricity.
My husband and I spent one night at your hotel and really enjoyed it. The room was spacious and very cozy. We used valet parking and everything else was great.

United States of AmericaThere were no glasses in the room. This was really irritating. There were just 2 little paper cups for the mini coffee maker. No cups or glasses for the bathroom or to use with the ice bucket or to have something other than reusing a small paper coffee cup. Weird. Would also have liked pen and notepad in the room.
Lovely hotel. Bed was not too soft to sleep on. Accent pillow that was firmer than the other pillows was a God send. Staff was exceptional! Great location. Nice decor. Reasonable rates.

United States of AmericaNoises from trolley, not everything was clean in the room (ex. Light switches not clean and couches were fabric with stains), just down the block from homeless encampments, inconvenient hot water situations for teas and cup or noodles
Fun and modern design, comfortable mattress, mini fridge and proximity to good food and sights

United States of AmericaIf you get a room on the 3rd floor you're most likely not getting any views other than the public parking lots. Windows could have been cleaner as it was hard to see out.
The location made it easy to walk to most places for food, fun, or drinks. Lots to do and not having to drive into the city was a major plus. 9th floor rooms have a beautiful view of the city and gorgeous sunsets.

United States of AmericaBecause of its central location to a lot of bars, clubs, and restaurants, there were plenty of people stumbling in drunk between 2-4am on both days of the weekend. There was a fair amount of noise from downtown, though this is to be expected.
The room was decorated well and very comfortable. The bed was nice and soft. The bathroom was decently sized. The location is withing walking distance to tons of activities in Downtown San Diego. The hotel itself is tucked away just off Broadway, the lifeline to San Diego.

United KingdomThis is an odd hotel - it is run with a minimal number of staff. From afternoon, the reception is nearly always empty, phone calls are ringing (supposedly from guests) but never answered. We stayed for 4 nights, we asked for a corkscrew and were told by the teenage receptionist (the only visible staff overseeing the entire hotel that evening), that there was none in the hotel and we should go to a CVS Pharmacy to buy one. In the room, cups were of polystyrene, cutlery was of plastic so no need for washing up as clearly there is no staff to do it. To have your room cleaned, you need to call reception in the morning (hoping your call will be answered) to request cleaning. Had this been an Airbnb at $50/night I would have not thought this weird, but this a centrally located, supposedly 4* star hotel which cost us $175/night. No breakfast is provided.
