The matress was too soft fro my taste and the rooms dont have a lot of extra space.

The breakfast was so good, the room super clean and very cozy, the the besheets very soft! The location was super close to the beach and restaurants. Very niceto walk around the neighborhood!

They offered small portions for breakfast snacks and ran out of food most days. They were not consistent with making up the rooms. When they skipped our room, we asked where to leave trash. We were told leave trash in the hall and it sat there all day. While the bathroom was nice, the shampoo/conditioner and soap provided were very cheap so we did not use.

We had a large bedroom with a smaller sitting room (with futon that turned into bed) and bathroom in between the two rooms. Nice set up for family of 4. The bathroom was nice and shower had good pressure. The main bed was very comfortable.

Being a historic Victorian building from 1889, plumbing has some minor issues with water pressure, which affects ability to balance out water temperature using the shower knobs, as the main example.

Well located, great staff, clean, comfortable. The text messages/reminders were a great touch. Good communication throughout the stay.

The inn is an old building and is dated. Box fans are in each room to provide air flow. No AC.

The yogurt parfait was good-- this was the primary breakfast served. There were some small pastries as well.

It’s a historic building so, true to the period, the bathroom is small.

We liked the historic feel. Front desk personnel, Daniel, was very helpful, efficient, friendly and informative. Free parking, next to downtown and easy walk to the water. WiFi worked well. Hot/cold water pressure was very good. Easy access to old town Carmel, Pt Lobos, Cannery Row, Asilomar beach. Happy hour glass of wine and freshly baked cookies add a very cozy, welcoming vibe.

How hard it was to get into the shower. The tub was very tall, there should be a handle for safety reasons.

When we arrived we were upgraded to a cottage. We arrived early and were able to check in. Champagne was out for the guests.

Since it is an old, historic hotel, there is no a/c. The hotel did provide an fan which kept things cool. It was a little noisy though. Also, the parking lot is too small. I had to park on the street.

The hotel itself is a pretty, Victorian building. The Breakfast Room is lovely. The breakfast was simple but excellent.

The only (small) thing is there are no coffee makers in the room. But they have good coffee in lobby and there are some great coffee shops nearby.

Beautiful and historic hotel in a fabulous area. So many places to walk to the ocean or around the cute town. Great restaurants and sights. The staff was very friendly and helpful!

We visited first week of October. Temps in the high 80s to low 90s. Not what the weather channel forcasted. There is no air conditioning in this hotel. Our room on the third floor was incredibly hot. Two small windows opened and there was a box fan. Room was 80 degrees all the time. To be fair, most restaurants and stores were also not air conditioned. A very sweltering trip with no relief in our room.

Location is great. Short walk to Lovers Point, downtown, and many local restaurants. Very charming hotel. Fantastic staff! The room is very charming and the bathroom and shower were nice.

The breakfast was very poor. Only coffee, fruits and small cupcakes. There was no salty food, like bread, cheese or eggs at all.If you have big luggage, the stairs to the 2nd floor can be a problem.

Very cozy, charming, super friendly staff. We had a welcome Champagne, that was awesome.
