No place to sit in the restaurant or bar. We were told by the hostess to stand in line for our wine and see if we could find a seat in the lobby.

First room given us was so small that the queen bed doubled as wall to wall carpeting. The bathroom was so small that you had to step out of it just to change your mind. Fortunately when we explained our discomfort with the room they did find us a more suitable room. The seconded room was quite acceptable with an enjoyable view of the bay and city lights. The desk clerk was very kind and helpful.

The drain in the shower was slow and the water pressure was unimpressive. The air conditioner didn't go below 68 degrees and it got hot in the room.

The room was exactly what we wanted. It was clean, comfortable, and quiet. My wife's massage in the spa was nice and dinner at Limewood was excellent.

Every staff was great except for the bar staff at Limewood who were super unwelcoming and unfriendly. These two men nearly ruined our one night at this hotel with their hostile attitudes. Thankfully other staff their went out of their way to be kind.

Beautiful facility with great pool area and views in Berkeley. Great text based concierge that was super responsive.

The Claremont takes you away to another place for a true staycation. My husband and I live in Oakland but felt like we had taken a trip to New England or something, it's such a beautiful oasis.

Room location and was charged a daily facility’s fee at checkout but I did not use any of the facilities. Staff in the restaurants were not friendly or helpful.

the crazy price to pay for the car park (you have 20 mins for free. This is no long to arrive, drop your luggage, take your room; exceeding those 20 mins by only 10 mins costs you 9 USD...)

It felt corporate, tired and dared. While our room had great views and beds were comfy, it felt incredibly impersonal and like we were trapped in a giant box. Also, mini-grudges were empty and there wasn't even bottled water in the rooms.

The history of the building and location on the edge of the Park with sweeping views across the Bat Area are stunning. Staff were all wonderfully helpful and welcoming.

The specific room we had this time had an hvac unit of some kind in the closet, and it went on very often throughout the night, and was quite loud. We didn’t sleep well due to the intermittent noise. Also, most of the self-parking lots were taken over by the valet parking, which was inconvenient for those who do not valet.

We’ve stayed here before, and love the hotel, location, and staff.

They allowed a relative to check into my room and provided a key without my permission. There was no add'l name on my reservation but gave the key away nonetheless.

I was advised over the phone that the glove skating would be available for my grand baby and when we woke up the next morning, we were advised there would not be any gliss skating.. bummer for my family.

one of the rooms we had, took all night to warm up, like a refrigerator, but because of busy schedule did not take time to change rooms. Room#564 (?) the one without a view.

There were many parties the night we arrived so parking was difficult. We circled the lots for 20 minutes and were scolded for stopping under the porte cochere to check in. We were disoriented in the dark and rain and our first moments were tense. After check-in all went smoothly until validating the parking pass, which was unnecessarily complicated: verbal instructions different from signage. Why?
