No fridge in the room. This is incredibly inconvenient - especially when the ice machine on your floor is broken.

The fresh flowers, the amazing cast iron bathtub’s, the views & the staff was amazing!

I have been coming to drake and the Coq d'Or since I was 5 that I can remember usually around Christmas because of my birthday. It was always special, elegant,.I does not feel special or elegant any more. The drake it self use to smell elegance. It doesn't anymore. Just Very nice hotel. Not even Histoiric! Also disappointed in the bathroom so small could put make up and other things on sink at same time so small.

Everyone was amazing room was comfortable

the bathroom and room was very dated and the HVAC was unable to cool the room, the room was very hot, the room only had two towels instead of four

Drake location is great, and the valet service offered. The room size was good, having a coffee shop on site was a bonus, the check in staff was pleasant.

It can be very bustling in the entry and lobby with limited seating. The rooms are comfortable but are older. The Palm Court has such limited hours there was no place to have a cocktail except the basement bar that was always jammed and so noisy we had to go elsewhere.

The location is right in the heart of the Gold Coast. Steps from Oak Street boutiques and 900 Michigan shops. Many restaurants and cultural offerings within an easy walk or short bus ride. The hotel is beautifully preserved and offers a luxury vibe at a reasonable price. Many families were there celebrating the holiday season at high tea in the gorgeous Palm Court. The staff is helpful and very accommodating.

The hallways and my room were extremely WARM. The fan did not work well which resulted in temperatures being warm throughout the night. Staff needs to be more courteous and please SMILE. The front desk lady was distracted, no eye contact, no friendliness when I checked in. During my stay, I had asked for help from a few staff members at the entrance and once in front of the Palm Court before our tea time, they were annoyed, impatient and not eager to help. It was unfortunate for a beautiful and historic hotel.

My room has a beautiful lake view.

The room needed some attention. Stuff and the roman shade was broke. We choose not to ask for assistance while we were there, but we did bring it to their attention upon our departure.

Every staff person from the Bell Person to the housekeeping staff was excellent.

The rooms are terribly dated. Although our room was spacious, decor and bathtub in room felt like any 1980’s Hilton, nothing remarkable, actually kind of disappointing for the potential of old school glamor, that the hotel was known for back in the day

Location is ideal! Iconic and Historic Building. Pricing was fair and in-line w/ property. Coque D’or Bar took us back in time.

Lack of restaurants. The beautiful Tea Room area is open on limited basis. Used to go there for drinks and live music when it was a lively gathering spot at the end of the day. Area is now cordoned off to foot traffic from lobby. Enter from side area for High Tea. The Prohibition bar/restaurant is only dinner option. I was told by staff that some dining and amenities did not reopen after the pandemic. It is not the Drake I remember from pre pandemic!

I didn’t realise you had to request the room to be serviced as this wasn’t mentioned at reception when checking in but once we realised the room was cleaned the very next day.

Checking in was very easy. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was excellent. Christine at the bar was very friendly.
