Price was too high especially on Easter weekend. Motel is very basic, no frills, and dated, but everything worked well.

Pillows were not comfortable. Sink faucet never got warm water , tho shower did.

Never met staff, if a problem had occurred what help would have been available? I did not know anything about a breakfast option. Was not able to check in online-the process was not ph friendly. Room was clean, and I appreciated the in room coffee pot.

It's all good, but,,,if you're a light sleeper, you might not want the room that faces the main drag (although it's rarely an issue)

Quite simply this is the best deal in Solvang. We've stayed BUNCHES of times. Also, occasionally, we've stayed in other (MUCH more expensive) places in town. Solvang is charming, and we stop / drive through overnight several times a year. The Hamlet is a motel - not a fancy hotel -- but right in the middle of everything. The rooms are simple Scandinavian style, and have recently been renovated. It couldn't be more convenience, and free parking RIGHT in front of your room. Also, free bikes to use when going around town.

The walls are thin we could hear our neighbors speaking, however it seemed like everyone did their best to keep the noise down. Except for the street cleaner that came around at 5:30am!

The room was very clean and the bed super comfortable. The location is perfect for walking around the area to the shops and restaurants. They also loan out bikes to guests, unfortunately we didn’t have time to ride on this trip but will remember for next time.

Although, Very Comfortable, Still felt slightly Cramped(incl Parking Lot) for Two People, At Times. If You're in a CERTAIN Room, You can Constantly hear the Sounds from Above, ESPECIALLY Footsteps and Doors shutting or slamming. The ONLY Downfall was lack of a Microwave.

The Staff and Associates is ONE of THE BEST( Cordial ,Attentive, Accommodating and Engaging), I've EVER Seen. Anytime You Needed ANYTHING, Staff IMMEDIATELY Responded. Also, After hour Contact is Available. THANK YOU, STAFF. The Location is to DREAM FOR...VERY CLOSE To ALL THE Shops, Restaurants, and Bakeries. Very Quiet LOCATION. Gorgeous Rooms. The Facilities seemed VERY Clean. FREE Parking, BUT First Come, First Served. Loved The NO CONTACT and Simple CHECK IN Procedures. My Wife was Really Impressed, Especially with it being MORE Intimate because ONLY a Dozen Rooms or So.
