The staff were cold and not very welcoming, and it made me think why they were in the hospitality business.

The room was quiet, roomy, and clean.

A thoroughly enjoyable stay in an adequately updated 1920's building located on Seattle's best hill.

Well, I visited in March, and I assumed the lack of AC would be tolerable. It was but just. The southern exposure of my room and lack of AC would make my room very uncomfortable during the summer and early fall. The room also had a largish dresser that took up valuable moving around space. The room has loads of closet space, so the dresser remained unused and in the way for me.

Pretty much everything about my experience from the check in to the elevator and the roof top terrace. The location is fabulous with interesting eateries close by, and a walk down Spring St. takes you to Elliott Bay. Even the hike back up was enjoyable.

The Inn at Virginia Mason more than met my needs & was a very pleasant stay in a historic, lovey inn

There were no grab bars in my standard room’s bathroom, and the toilet was very low, so it was difficult to get up and down. Perhaps spend a bit to increase bathroom safety? Also, the mattress was too soft and squishy for my tastes, and I’m a person who loves soft mattresses.

The location could not be better. It is in a very safe neighborhood with several small restaurants nearby. The desk clerk told me the Inn is owned by Virginia Mason Hospital and contained an elevator connecting the two buildings. As the purpose of my visit was a procedure at Virginia Mason, I would say the Inn was more than perfectly situated. The staff were very friendly ad efficient, and told me how to locate the connecting elevator, how to access the lovely courtyard, and other amenities of the facility. The lobby is comfortable, and the entire facility was clean and inviting. The carpet in my room looked new, but without that nasty new carpet smell. The room had the standard and welcoming coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. The TV offered a surprising number of channels. I had a very nice view of the city, so that was a definite bonus. I would definitely stay here if I needed to return to the hospital.

The building is from the 1930's. It's old, but has been retrofitted to have most modern amenities. It was difficult to tell if the heating/ac was on. The HVAC is old, and the walls seem very thin. We could hear our neighbors talking at night.

It's in a very convenient area. It was easy to get to and the staff was very nice and friendly. The rooms were a good size for the amount of people that we had staying in them.

No a/c. It was November and although outside was chilly, it was warm inside the room. Had to use the loud box fan which was very loud. Hate to imagine how unbearable it must during the summer.

We asked for a ride to the airport from the hotel driver. We waited for 45 min past our time asked for. At 20 min past we asked the reception desk about the wait to which she replied she had no way to track the driver and didn’t seem very helpful. Another gentleman stepped in at the desk and got on the phone and called him. They weren’t even close and had to send another driver. I’m glad we asked..if not, it seemed as though they had forgotten. Seattle airport security is so busy and it pays to get there ahead of time.

This hotel is located in close proximity to a friend. Always clean and ready for our visit.

The light in the bathroom did not always work. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and I definitely did not feel comfortable showering in there. The walls were extremely thin and the shower from the next room was so loud it woke me up. Parking was two blocks away down a very steep hill. Definitely one of the main reasons I will not be staying again. There was lots of noises out in the hallway like beeping and it was very distracting.

Check in was simple and fast. When entering the lobby it was easy to navigate. The Wi-Fi worked and it was fast. The mattress was comfortable and I slept good. Check out was easy.

Rooms were dated and I didn't feel the doors were very secure. Also only one elevator which was very small, and no breakfast.

The front office desk people were very friendly and helpful. Asked us about our trip, why we were there and showed interest in our stay. Bed was very comfortable.
