Room service finishes at 9.30, it's a bit early for us. Choice of alcohol in the bar is very poor. Lots of whisky or rum, but no choice on beer that's not typically American (it's a hotel for tourists so something international would be nice) and not enough different spirits. We never had a drink at the hotel because we couldn't fine anything we liked.

Staff! We've never experienced staff being that helpful and friendly. Absolutely fantastic. Comfortable beds. Location, best possible!

The hotel has an eccellent position, just a few minutes from everything in Mahattan. The staff in the hotel is really professional and we felt really loved like at home. The room was really big and confortable and despite the central position it was really quiet and sinlent during the night

There was no real food option in the evening.

The only down point for us was that the room was a bit noisy in the morning. You could hear the elevator and a loud noise of the pipes when the guests in the room next to ours where showering.

It would have been nice to have coffee available for a short time during the afternoon or have tea / hot water for the evening, esp in February. Especially since they have that cozy library sitting area. It would be nice to have a little tea and small biscotti. Odd about the sauna. I wasn't told there was a bathroom/shower with towels available. . I was told it was communal and my option was to bring down a robe. Thankfully it wasn't full and the two times I used it, I shared with a couple - all of us robed but it was a bit unusual. Plus it was tight, good for 4 people sitting down. Front desk was a little unclear with the initial onboarding about where breakfast was, etc. But otherwise they were superb.

The location was just right because it was near the NYPL where I needed to be before and after a conference. I walked 10 blocks = 10 min to my conference. It was a nice walk down either along 5th avenue or madison. Breakfast was really good. Deceptive because the bread offerings were simple - croissants and jam and greek yogurt. But v good quality. I was able to do take a grab and go food the first day and also grab and go coffee. The bed was comfortable. I wasn't sure how much of the floor the bathroom heating covered but it was really appreciated. It was a bit spotty with the house cleaning refills. I was hoping for another set of slippers because I used the one set to go to the sauna. Great service with the doormen/bellhop - they were super attentive and always ready to open the door so I didn't have to pause from going up the entry stairs to open the door especially since I was running in and out to a conference. Front Desk staff was welcoming. Clean. Clean. Clean. very lovely cozy lobby.

The only negative was free breakfast and the staff that works in the dining area. The free breakfast was very sad. Most of it was gone by 10 o’clock when we came even though there’s supposed to be breakfast until 11 AM at one point they even said they were out of butter, which is a staple every restaurant should have plenty of. and the staff that worked in there were lackadaisical even though there were lots of people waiting in line and lots of empty tables full of dishes they just seemed angry generally. I thought it was strange that the staff in the lobby, which was just the wall was so relaxed, and so kind and engaging. They must be a really terrible manager in the dining area.

The hotel is beautiful and the front lobby staff were absolutely darling, kind, funny, engaging, even remembered us as we came back over the couple of days.
