Definitely a family hotel. My husband and I felt a bit out of place as the only couple, but ultimately were not bothered by this. Be prepared for lots of kids in the pool, playing in the grass area, and splashing around at the beach.

This location can’t be beat! Right on the shore of one of the best beaches in Hawaii and within walking distance of a few great restaurants, snorkel shops, and a shopping center.

The one thing that was difficult for us was the parking. The lot is very small making it hard to get our minivan we rented in and out of and spots were sometimes difficult to find.

I loved the location. The rooms were very nice as was the beach. The staff were all friendly and helpful as well.

Room cleaning frequency can be increased.

The hotel is on the best beach of Maui, protected from strong currents, with sea turtles coming every day. The rooms are spacious, with both ceiling fans and air conditioners. Onsite parking is a big plus.

the front desk staff and kitchen staff were not friendly at all, and even refused us silverware when we asked for it to eat leftovers (we had a fridge in our room, and they said they could only give them to guests with full kitchens, which was ridiculous. we had to ask the restaurant down the street for takeaway silverware). additionally, when we booked the hotel, we were told there would be a continental breakfast each day, and there was only BAD coffee and juice. a lady came in and asked where the food was, and said she had stayed here for 7 years and there was always food. this was disappointing.

the property itself is beautiful, with a great small pool, an amazing beach, and beach chairs to use for free. the room was excellent with a view of the Gardens and sea. the security guard who was there and welcomed us Wednesday and Thursday nights was so warm, welcoming, and helpful.

Partial sea view room is very much partial if you stand in tip toes on balcony to see over tree right in front. Other rooms had better views (maybe booked direct and not via booking.com). Breakfast refreshments = coffee and pineapple juice only.

Reading reviews we expected a light breakfast but were told no longer available just coffee or a juice. Gave car registration as requested but later found a note on my car threatening to tow it away. Resolved this after a chat with the Manager, could have done without it, took the edge off the day. I was offered a discount on the room but declined as I didn't want my point of view to seem like I was trying for that.

Lovely location, our booking got lost but was resolved with a room upgrade, thank you. Sunsets fabulous and the evening security guard gets 10 out of 10.

Thin walls, we could hear everything in next room including child screaming at 4am. Hated not having a TV in room (at least that could have drowned out the kids). Parking on site was a nightmare.

Wish they had more of a breakfast service. After we had booked, the hotel informed us that they would no longer be offering fruit and pastries in the morning. Said they were getting hard to source. Not sure if that's really the reason. Also, be aware that while there is free parking, it's limited and fills up fast. There are places to park along the road, but during the day, everyone is parked there to access the beaches.

Right on the beach. It's a small hotel that has character. There are no TVs, phones, or much in the room. We got an actual key to unlock the door. Different rooms have different views. We had room 212, and the view was great. Get an upper-floor room if you can. The beach out from the property is public but is limited access. There are not many places for the public to park. This is nice because the beach feels more private and is less crowded.

Parking is free (which, we learned, is very rare in the area) but it is limited, so there is a slight chance you won't find a spot in their parking lot. We stayed end of Jan and did not have an issue with parking, however this detail was not clear when booking the hotel so it's worth calling out.

The location is fantastic, right on the beach, and the beds and pillows are Tempurpedic which was just amazing. Staff was wonderful and friendly. The place has a very laid back vibe and was a great overall value for the location.

I would have liked a small breakfast included, simple muffins set out with the coffee and juice would be sufficient. Perhaps a guide in the room that includes best places to snorkel, and things that are walking distance.

We loved how close we were to the beach. The room itself was very clean and nicely decorated, The room felt like it had been renovated but still had the old charm.

We had a room on the ground floor and unfortunately all the sounds that came from the room above us could be heard, so the isolation is unfortunately insufficient

Location is on the beach so this was fantastic. Lovely garden and area around - event this is part of several hotel resorts. Beach was cool and very clean and nice to enjoy

Still a lovely little gem (first stayed here 40 years ago). Great location, lush grounds, very comfortable rooms, and nice staff. No need to spend money on fancier places; this simple, sweet hotel dies the trick.
