The hotel is directly on the main street of Laguna beach so there is a lot of traffic. You have to be very careful in driving in and out as well as walking across the street.

We got a King Bed Room with a kitchenette. It was perfect for our needs. We had a small dog with us and we wanted to have a few of our meals in our room. It worked well. The Tides In is an older hotel but it has been updated and well-maintained. The staff was very nice and helpful.

Super cute property, included beach chairs, parking, and many small things that made it really convenient. Very cozy and small town feel, even has a handwritten welcome card! Loved the staff and how polite they all were. They upgraded us for free without us asking. Loved the heated salt water pool, it was amazing after the beach.

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our wishes. It was my birthday weekend, and finding a handwritten birthday card in the room was delightful. Thank you so much again. The location is superb! The room was clean and a nice sized. We are definitely coming back to stay at The Tides next time in Laguna Beach.

Didn't like dragging mine and my wife's heavy luggage up the stairs but that was no fault of Tides. The washroom was a bit cramped, but serviceable.

Very lovely stay! The place was very clean and the room was nice and large even with a king bed. We had a decent (partial) view of the ocean from the room. We walking down to the awesome coastline in five minutes as it was a block away. The heated pool and the cozy corner outdoor fireplace next to the pool, in the evening, was a special treat.

Since we were beside the laundry room and the drains obviously needed service, our room had a sewer smell when laundry was in use. The hotel did let us use a candle for the smell so that helped.

Clean comfortable room that has everything you need, close to everything in Laguna Beach. Parking is right on the property and safe. Pool area very spacious and the temperature was warm even though the weather was on the cold side.

The facility is definitely not fancy. Just the basics. The office person was kind and friendly..upgraded our room so we had a view..it was a wonderful room with a kitchenette..could have stayed a month! Perfect location, you can walk to everything! For the price, it was awesome..we will definitely stay here again. If your looking for convenients, it's perfect.

We loved everything!

Our room was perfect! Immaculately clean. Our king size room included a kitchen with everything we needed. A Keurig with complementary coffee, which was a big deal to us. Maid service was excellent the 2 days we stayed there. The location is great and accross the street from the beach and many restaurants to choose from. The management was excellent and we will be back again. My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and The Tides was perfect!

Soundproofing needs work. We stayed on first floor and people above us were loud and couldn’t sleep. The hotel thoughtfully provided earplugs but they didn’t help. Carpeting on upper levels is a must. The tile floors are an echo chamber. However most people don’t stomp around in heels at 6 am so it was a bit of bad luck

The bathroom is outdated with rusting on curtain rod and light fixture. A few ants were seen in the bathroom but no significant trail to determine where they came from. Despite older decor, the housekeeping staff maintains exceptional cleaning.

The Tides is located half-mile from Laguna Main Beach and only a block away from Helser Park. It is very convenient to walk to most attractions. They also provide bottled waters in the rooms. The front-desk staff is friendly and helpful.
