Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

The room was big but it I guess it could use a little tlc, emphasizing the L… but it was alright, needing a place to sleep on the way. Bathroom was clean, on the bed, some hair could be found though. The room had a kitchenette, including a 2-burner stove but no kitchen ware whatsoever. So that was a little irritating but we didn‘t want to cook anyway. So for us it was fine. The girl at the reception was very friendly.

United StatesI booked at one place by looking at room types and when I got there I was in the hotel next door. I guess they own both. I was okay with that but I do book by what I like I.e. a porch or balcony and location so I was surprised that I wasn’t staying in the hotel I chose. again it was okay I guess.

The couch bed had rips and stains on the mattress pad and there was no sheets supplied (only one thicker blanket). The bathroom lighting was very dim so it was hard to see what was clean and what wasn’t.
The room was very spacious and even had a stove top, in addition to a fridge and microwave.
