Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

My husband found a hair in his breakfast sausage. It definitely wasn't his. Didn't eat breakfast there the rest of the trip. The bathroom door stuck and was a little hard to open.
The location was good. The pool was nice, we used it while doing a load of laundry.

It was all good, no hightech, very good price for what you get. In other places we got much less for much more money.

We did get a few mosquitoes in the room - probably inevitable in this climate and in a motel style hotel where the room door is the exterior door
Given we knew the location, set up and price we were really pleasantly surprised by how good the hotel was. It all felt new and well kept. The pool was great - despite essentially being in a car park next to a main road, it didn’t feel like it at all. The pool was sheltered, clean and lovely and warm - and pool towels were provided.

We had a terrible mattress. Actually back aches in the morning. I didn't say anything until we were leaving since it was just 2 nights. Attendant at front desk was very concerned and told me she wished I would have told her right away. They would of done something to correct the problem. Made me feel better about staying there.
The grounds were cute, pool very nice, breakfast good. Nice room, a little dated, but clean. Perfect for a short stay.

Everything was as expected or even better. The Hotel is located very close to the road to the Keys and is also a perfect starting point for visiting the Everglades NP. The owner was very nice and provided a lot of advices what to visit.

Not in enough towels for the room. However reception rectified that instantly.

We had neighbors smoking weed and cigars most of our nights there, regardless of our toddler. Heating also smelled bad, so we just turned it off.
It was cheap! And breakfast wasn't terrible. It was clean for the type of lodging which was really great!

Not too clean on the floor, my feet were black after walking barefoot for 1 hr in the room we just checked in

Location was excellent. Main reason for staying in Florida City was the convenient location to the Everglades. Breakfast was very good.

- First time to encounter a somewhat odd solution to have the sink outside of bathroom in the main bedroom area, which is a bit of an issue when a toddler is sleeping and you don't want to make noise, but it's not a major problem.

Next to gas station, neighborhood safe, but not very nice.
Very good organized room, clean, updated, nice staff, friendly. Very good for a stand motel. Convenient location right on Rt.1.

Breakfast left a lot to be desired. The sausage was not cooked...actually cold in the middle and the pastries were still frozen. thin walls in the rooms...you can hear the next room occupants in their bathrooms.
Parking for our trailer, close to our room. First floor access.
