Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BrazilThe Elevator is slow and the staff uses many times one of them exclusively.
The location is quite good. Very close to. Times Square and very convenient for Broadway shows.

United KingdomThe staff weren't the friendliest on check in and I didn't have much other interaction with them but they could at least put on a smile and pretend like they want to be there, they felt quite hostile, after all the guests are paying their wages so a smile would be nice. It was fine. The whole place could do with maintenance/updating though. The bedside light didn't work and having the plug socket on the other side of the room to the bed was annoying. I did have to ask twice for towels when I first arrived and apparently their supplier was late delivering them which is fine but either don't let people check in until you have the towels or let them know when they check in so they know what to expect. I'd just got off a 7 hour flight and the first thing I wanted to do was shower! The bathroom was also absolutely tiny! I was only using the room to sleep and shower so it was fit for purpose but still in dire need of updating and just more attention to detail, some parts of the room seemed a bit bodged and paint needed touching up. Only 1 lift (elevator) was working for my whole stay so I often had to wait a good few minutes for the lift-- I was on the 8th floor and to be honest I had no idea where the stairs were, this information was not provided at check in and the lift was pretty small but I was only in out and of the hotel once a day and left plenty of time to get down to the lobby. Generally, more information needs to be given on check in, rather than being given a piece of paper with a lot of information, there were lots of things I didn't realise about the hotel until I'd been there for a couple of days but would have been helpful to know on check in.
I found the WiFi to be pretty stable, I watched episodes of shows on Netflix without issue. The location is very central which I look for as a solo traveller.

United States of AmericaThe first room that was reserved for us had a broken bunk bed and was really small compared to the Premium Queen advertised online. The staff was polite and moved us immediately. However, the bathroom shower in the room they moved us to literally screamed with a weird noise while we were showering. There was a lot of chipping paint and there was residual tape on the headboard. The rooms were also really dim. The elevator wait time was ridiculous. They only have 2 of them and 1 was broken most of the weekend. We typically used the stairs.
It was centrally located to Times Square and the Theatre District

United States of AmericaSome of the staff was quite rude. Our room did not have some of the basic things that, I believe, are expected in a hotel room such as a mini fridge or a devise to make coffee or tea.
The location was convenient. The beds were comfortable. Many of the staff were very kind and helpful.

CanadaThe free Wi-Fi was consistently unstable when I needed to use Zoom or FaceTime. This was very annoying as I was on a work trip and needed to meet online with colleagues back home.
For this location, the price is amazing given that the rooms, while small and simple, are very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. Really excellent value for the money.

IrelandSecurity - no keycard was required for lifts so anyone could access the accommodation. While the rooms were clean there was mould in the bathroom. 2 out of 3 lifts were not working over a weekend so it took a long time to get up to the higher floors & we had to walk down on more than one occasion. Could not control room temp & could not open a window. Hotel rooms need updating
The location was excellent right beside Times Square with everything you could need on your doorstep staff were lovely the bed was very comfortable.

United States of AmericaAlthough it's a great location for the price, Do not stay here... their elevators are terrifying! They kept slipping and dropping and traumatized us. My niece was in tears having to ride the elevator to our room. We told the staff they had problems with the elevator and they didn't seem to take it seriously. Terrible staff. Very unfriendly front desk staff. Also the floors in our room where uneven and the maid staff wouldn't leave us extra towels. No bath mat, no hand towels, etc. And it's ridiculous that they charge you a fee to hold your luggage.
Great location in Time Square for the price. Close to theaters, restaurants, the subway. A few blocks from Central Park and 5th Avenue. Good size rooms for NYC, and the beds are very comfortable.

United States of AmericaElevators were so slow. We actually walked up and down 13 flights several times instead of waiting 10 minutes for the elevator. Ice machines are supposedly on 4 floors. 14th - didn't work, 10th - it was removed. 7 - finally found one that worked. Couldn't find a Do Not Disturb sign. Room service didn't give us new towels each day, only 2 days. And half of our towels had to be used each day for the floor outside the shower due to the design of the shower and water going all over the bathroom floor each time the shower was used. Asked for an extra blanket twice and was told each time that they had no extra blankets.
Location was great, being right off Times Square. Bell check employee was super helpful on 3/15. We checked our luggage with him, and watched him secure it for us. Upon our return, he helped us figure out how best to get to the airport via subway and bus. Very friendly and helpful. Check in employee 3/11 was very helpful as well. Recommended a great place for pizza which we all thoroughly enjoyed.
