It was hot in the rooms. Being able to open the window helped slightly but not enough as it could only be opened a little bit. Staff was mixed. Some were very pleasant and some were a bit short and rude.

I liked the charm of the hotel. It has a style that is quaint and it offers a more relaxing atmosphere.

You can't adjust the temperature in room as the heat only is on currently, so your only option for cool air is shutting all off and opening window. I ended up each day with a sore throat from doing this as I have bad allergies. We also were told we could ask for a fan, so we did, but it was never brought to the room. Rooms are much smaller than we are used to in NYC, but they are beautiful and cozy.

Loved the hotel, the location, the front desk staff, restaurant and bar too. We would go to this restaurant even if we weren't staying, it's inviting, beautifully decorated and has a huge skylight in the center. Pics are the view from our window.

There was a problem with the air conditioning, the weekend of our stay; however, we were able to crack a window and eventually found the room to be very comfortable.

The hotel is in a great location, on a surprisingly quiet street and has boutique hotel charm We found the staff to be exceptionally courteous, friendly and very helpful. The room was comfortable and clean. On site restaurant was very good.

A very lovely hotel for a female travelling alone. A great lobby bar area with live background music. A restaurant which is nice for single diners, couples and small groups. Good food. And very supportive staff when I had a small problem! A particular thank you to the Restaurant Manager and his team.

We feel we missed the vibe of a truly customer focussed venue…the front desk and the restaurant booking staff were polite but never really reached out to go the extra yard.

Location…the art deco type architecture…the classic NYC feel.

Can't think of much, rooms may be considered slightly on the small side compared to US standards but that was definitely not a problem for us. Price could be more affordable but it's NY so prices are always an issue.

The decor of the hotel is stunning, facilities are amazing and the staff was wonderful and took amazing care of us. The view from our room was absolutely outstanding and the rooms were incredibly quiet especially considering the great location of the hotel.

Room was a bit small, but ok for NYC standards. You could here quite well when someone next door left their room from the hallway, but personally wasn’t that bothered by it.

Great location, lovely atmosphere. My room had a view of the empire state building, which was cool. Friendly staff and clean, but small room.

hotel’s computer system was a bit off upon arriving for the weekend, but someone in the hotel finally got the situation corrected.

atmosphere of hotel: comfortable and inviting lobby, very good restaurant, good cocktail bar, clean and well appointed room. The location was also very good. Also, the downtown area, river, and midtown areas were also easily accessible by foot, if you are a reasonably foot walker.

For a 4 star hotel I was surprised it was a problem to get a cup of chamomile tea late at night (closer to 1 am). The front desk person said the bar was closed and they could not get me tea. If the front desk staff can't make a cup of boiled water when the bar is closed, then please put tea / coffee in the room!! They do provide robes but you have to ask for it specifically. Mind that they authorize a $200 charge for damages in addition to the room rate, it clears out in a few days after check out but I find that annoying, especially that it wasn't mentioned on Booking.

Great location, comfortable beds, cute design.

Small room, but it was expected in NYC. Offsite parking was $50/nt.

Great location in Greenwich Village. The bathroom was a decent size. They have complimentary bottled water and cider in their lovely lobby. They also gave us a credit for the restaurant and my partner had a delicious breakfast while I slept in. Coffee maker and mini fridge available upon request. The room was surprisingly quiet.
