Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

I feel like the staff could be more friendly.
Great location, bright, clean, comfortable beds, good sized fridge, excellent (free) coffee. The beach cruisers were great to explore on, too.

Pay for parking is not awesome. No free breakfast here.
Very cool, spunky rooms. Bed uses Euro Duvet system. Most of the rooms have awesome views. Staff super friendly. Property has bikes to use. Secure Parking. Cookies when you check in!

No complaints from me.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. So easy to check in and out. Room was clean and spacious. Beds were super comfortable. Bathroom was nice and shower was great, the removable shower head is a nice touch. The location was perfect for our concert at the Neptune Theatre.

We loved it all. Got in late first day so we didn’t want to go walking for food. Ending up buying last sandwich across street at trinity market. Was good.
We didn’t eat breakfast here but the front desk staff were all great!! Really enjoyed the free drinks and waters.

The prices at the pineapple market were very high! Hoping to find more variety there too.
So Bowie and fun! Loved the little perks like the free beverage and the coffee and everything decorated like a pineapple. The staff was amazing and so friendly!

Would have been helpful to have been provided the same number of bottles of water in the room to mach the number of registered guests. Definitely not a huge deal (more of an FYI), as the lobby has a great water filling station with hot, cold, sparkling or regular water. Great when travelling!
Staff are efficient and friendly. The afternoon treats upon arrival are always appreciated and make it just that more welcoming. Location is an easy walk to the ULine, and then in only a few stops, you are in downtown Seattle. Parking is easy to access and gated.

A little too expensive.
Cute pineapple details, a plushy Husky that we adopted, jacuzzi and Pineapple cafe. Hotel’s attention to details is incredible! We loved this whole pineapple design, pineapple cookies and a little cute plush Husky, that we adopted! Oh, and they even have complimentary bikes and helmets to explore beautiful Seattle.

The only recommendation is a stronger WiFi. Our phone service (Verizon) didn’t work at the property, so we were dependent on the WiFi. With all of us on it, it was slow.
All the little details made for a wonderful stay! The location, staff, cleanliness and comfort could’t be beat. It was an incredible value!

That we had to pay for parking, but I understand in a bigger city.
From the minute I walked in I could tell that they care about making people feel at home or better. Loved the cookies, appreciate how clean the room looked and felt.

The service was top of the line good. The room was fantastic. The hotel is beautiful. Again, service is top of the line. Super impressed. I also love my new water bottle.
