Breakfast was excellent with many creative choices. Staff was cheerful and listened to my requests. Rooms were beautifully maintained. Relaxing background music was quite pleasant. The grounds were gorgeous.

The bar could not make drinks that I wanted. A Pina Colada, a Mojito ( no mint) and lastly an apple martini (no sour apple mix). I settled on a drink they recommended but it wasn't good. Other then the bar everything else was wonderful.

The staff were very friendly and very accommodating. Our stay was memorable to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. Loved the chocolates and wine. Definitely will come back.

I was welcomed to the hotel with a glass of wine, which immediately set my mood to a luxury. Loved the big bath tub and fireplace in the room, the garden view from the balcony and everything else which spells luxury inside and around the room ( including the scent in the room). Tv had an option to stream from my own mobile device; all wineries were just in walking distance from the hotel…there are just too many things to mention. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for luxury experience.

artsy, clean, safe, garden, outdoor hot tub open even when freezing outside. Sauna super close to hot tub. Big fireplace in lobby restaurant. All staff were extremely nice. Friendly bellmen readily available to open doors and transfer luggage. if they weren’t right there, front door staff jumped in. the staff worked together really well and made each situation comfortable - not awkward. good food in Barking Frog restaurant as well. The layout of the place made it easy to roam the grounds and see all the art. Jet tub and fireplace in the room were nice. Everything worked. I would definitely stay again.

The Barking frog was a big feature of the lodge. it had a great atmosphere. of course had great wine pairings and the portions were a good size but my main course just didn’t hit the mark - I had the beef tenderloin, at $85 I had high expectations but it was served cold in the middle. I just couldn’t eat it, it made me wretch. so disappointing. It was obvious I hadn’t enjoyed the meal and so it was odd not to be asked!? when the staff had been keen to engage before then.

The price. I know there are a lot of people that can afford it, but your loyal visitors (have been staying here for over 14 years), may just be getting priced out. We got a gift card this time, so it was a lovely stay.

Love this hotel. It is definitely a special treat for my husband and I. It has gotten so expensive that I do not know if we can keep coming. We did enjoy every second of our stay.
