눉Laundry is very expensive (by the piece); there's a good place around the corner past Risotto that does it for 20,000 dong per kilo instead. The open stairwell and tile hallways amplify noise, so it can be very loud when anyone is talking within a few floors of your room. The balconies on the rooms with the big windows aren't private (they're also accessible from the hallway), so anyone could look in your room, if that bothers you. The women who work the front desk in the afternoons are wonderfully helpful; the man who works in the morning and sometimes late evening is not. He speaks very little English and can be difficult to deal with: called one of our rooms demanding we bring passports right away, after they'd already given them back, and then said he didn't need them after all; called the other room another day, woke me at 7:15 a.m., and said I needed to change rooms in 30 minutes because they had a lot of guests coming (although we were booked for another two nights); when I resisted because I wanted to stay next to my friends' room to help with their baby, he gave up and went off to hassle someone else). Hotel does not have any do-not-disturb signs to hang on the door, which is a nuisance.
눇Nice location on a neighborhood street near lots of restaurants, bars, ATMs, minimarts, etc. (Hang Me Me across the street is terrific for inexpensive Hue specialties, the BBQ place right across the street is great, and Risotto around the corner to the right does good Italian food when you need a change). Rooms are large and very clean, with comfortable beds, good wifi, and lots of TV channels. Hotel's breakfast buffet is very large and served with a great view. Staff were very friendly with our baby.
