Private terrace a little cramped

Very comfortable simple room , well serviced and clean. Lovely to have the braai outside. Good supermarket nearby for self catering. Very nice swimming pool. Excellent value for money

The bathroom is not enclosed properly... it's just a short wall, which isn't ideal

This was my favourite accommodation on our trip! The apartment was lovely and the pools were great! We also had our own braai area which was nice.

The staff very friendly, helpful and waited till 8 pm. The house very spacious, however needs renovation or at least very good deep cleaning.

Well the 'retreat' part of the accomodation was not that clear to us. Maybe a tip to explain a little about the welness/spa options!?

We had a great stay, the rooms were lovely, spacious and comfortabel. Pool was really nice and the mountains on the background were nice either.

Parking facilities were a bit tight for the number of cars parked on the premises. Gate onto the property did not close. Security a bit relaxed for someone from JHB. WiFi a bit slow. TV Remote was missing.

Room was very nice with everything required for self catering. Clean, with decent shower, toilet & vanity. Nice kitchen with fridge and wash basin, etc. Outdoor Braam area should you have required it. Staff were helpful with suggestions of restaurants to eat at and places to visit.

Personally don´t like the energy saving lamps they create "cold light" but this is question of taste.

Nice location, quite at the top area of Swellendam. Spacy sleeping rooms. The entire appartment was clean and well equipped. There is a swimming pool you can use parking space next to reception. Load shedding is happining but this is all over ZA.

Only downside was that there was no baby chair available for our little one, which made the dinners slightly un-chill…

The staff was really friendly, Tracey was nice and welcoming and gave us so much information about Swellendam, the location was great we could walk to most of the things we did there, and the accommodation was just perfection.the kids

15 or 20 minute walk into town that we would normally do but wouldnt do coming back . Taxi or restaurant transfer ....we dont know and no info. Othet places in SA ....we knew.

Paid extra for breakfast to be in the fridge, but was a little disappointed with the quality of the produce.

Room was lovely but wasn't the one I'd booked, The hotel moved me to a smaller room than booked, as they had overbooked and had a family staying in the room I had requested. My replacement room was lovely so no really complaint but no apology for the room change would have been nice.

Some relax beds at the pool are broken and need to be renewed

Very nice decorated and large apartment with a well equipment kitchen. Nice pool and garden. Friendly staff and close to the national park.

The seating areas outside are a little close together - but we could have used the additional outside area at the rear of our room.

We loved. the size of the room - the great shower - the bbq facilities including a stock of wood - the private outdoor eating and sitting area.

We paid for a delivered breakfast for both mornings of our stay. Shouldn’t have bothered. Could have bought better at local supermarket. Fruit was unripe and rock hard and bacon incredibly fatty

Lovely atmosphere Large room with rustic charm. Didn’t like wall art. Scary looking woman which faced the bed.

The one swimming pool was quiet whenever we used it but would maybe get busy if all the guests were using it at the same time? The second 'swimming pool' was a little splash pool delightful for cooling your feet off or for small children

Convenient stop on our way to the Garden Route. Close to Marloth Nature Reserve offering scenic walks and trails. Close to town for museum and shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Braai (bbq) facilities (all included) was excellent. Furnishings/ decor were top notch. Recommend stay longer than 1 night.

Spent a night here on our way from CT to Plett. Fantastic staff, and just gorgeous accommodation. Our kids absolutely loved it and we couldn't resist a fire while we went to sleep. Lana was super helpful and recommend then booked a restaurant for us.
