    Room rather dark

Beautiful views from the terrace. Great location for Boulders Bay. About 20 mins walk into Simon’s Town. Dirk very friendly and helpful. Honesty bar , lovely, if you fancy a drink while sitting by the pool.

    Nothing at all... loved everything!

Both the owners and their staff went out of their way to make your stay extra pleasant. Breakfast was done on a personal level according to preferences and made at a time that you chose. Perfect for a holiday when you do not want to be pressured into eating in a given time slot.

The room didn't always get restocked with tea etc. but that's just a small niggle.

The owners were super friendly and helpful and the breakfasts were good and varied. The place is very quirky with its breakfast "bridge" with a great view of the ocean and the balcony overlooking the garden with the pool. And as for the pub, that was great fun and so well stocked with drinks and all kinds of memorabilia - a museum in itself. It is located very easy walking distance from the penguins and Seaforth Beach and walking distance into town.

Stunning location with breathtaking views, beautiful property, lovely generous hosts, perfect room, great breakfast and what a bar, hundreds of bottles.

The view from the house over False bay are great but it is a slight bit to far to walk to the central part of Simon's town. To the penguins it is walking distance though.

Cozy place that feels like you were staying in a good friends nicely decorated house. The owner is charming and informative and the breakfast superb.

It was the sweetest B&B I have ever been to... great view from second floor. the collection of owner makes here a small museum. the little bar is also adorable.

Nice View during the great breakfast, very friendly staff, near to cape point and boulders beach.

Nothing, it's a fantasitc place. The only small thing would be it's a little far from Simons Town itself, but it is very close to Boulders Beach. Considering most people will have a car, this is not a problem.

Owners were lovely, very welcoming and friendly. The house had a wondeful nautical theme, and had an amazingly well stocked bar that we unfortunately didn't get much of a chance to sample. Breakfast was also great, and they happily give you a take away box if you are leaving early.

The host had anticipated every need. The place is fabulously quirky. We loved it! Room great, breakfast great, walk up the hill something of a challenge but meant we could indulge more at the local restaurants. Details like adapters, torch (not needed), binoculars, bird books, DVDs, honesty bar, reading material... The list goes on.

No bad experiences during the two-night stay. The setting is ideal for persons that would prefer to be on the edge, rather than the centre of the hectic tourist areas.

Personal involvement of owners in service delivery. Great attention to detail of all hospitality aspects.

    Makes other B&B's seem boring.

One of the more interesting accomodations, in a good way. Everything has been thoughtfully made available. It is all there, just ask if you don't see it. Check out the bar downstairs! Walking distance to the penguin viewing, beach and a great ocean view restaraunt. Loved it!

Hygiene is poor with thousands of toys all around (looks like museum) found dead ants in the salt shaker at the breakfast plus the owners have 2 dogs laying around the house, so there was no place for us to set but the terrace area.

The house very nice and comfortable, with good location close to boulders beach and nice restaurant (seafort) only walking distance.

We loved the room and its location adjacent to an informal bar, full of quirky antiques. Incidentally, the bar closes at 8pm - it is a friendly place for guests to meet and exchange travel experiences.

The guest house was lovely, the breakfast excellent. Dirk and Denise are lovely, helpful people. They have 2 well equiped bicycles, nice jacuzzy and an unbelievable collection of everything, especially cameras and navy stuff. The icy on the cake a self service bar full with special drinks. If you are going from Capetown our advice not to take the last two trains since there is no taxi around, probably the best renting a car or ask for a pick up before. Strongly recomended for a lovely holiday in a lovely place.

No issues at all! Outstanding hospitality!!

    1) Great nautical decor, in keeping with the seafaring theme of Simon's Town. 2) Everything in the room perfectly in place 3) Not just clean -- it was spotless! 4) Excellent breakfast with tremendous view. 5) Tremendous attention to detail: electrical adapters in the room, binder in room listing area attractions and DVDs available for loan, bath soap stamped with the Inn's name, etc., etc.!

Everything, really. It was the closest thing to a home away from home that we had during our month in South Africa. Owners Dirk and Denise are extremely welcoming and helpful, rooms are clean, comfortable and interesting. The guesthouse itself is thoughtfully designed with bird feeders, a cool pub and loads of great sitting/resting areas. The location is great: fantastic view from the balconies and a 10-minute walk from penguins and restaurants. It's the kind of place where you could hunker down for a week or two if the opportunity presented itself.

Attention to detail was overwhelming and my wife particularly liked the sunken garden and bird eaters. I liked the fantastic honesty bar and the warm welcome and hospitality. Also within walking distance of Boulders Beach and restaurants. The rooms were spotless, the breakfast excellent and lovely views over False Bay. Overall highly recommended and would stay there again
