We absolutely LOVED Emily Moon!! Both myself and my husband agreed that it was probably our favourite hotel we'd ever stayed at, we were so sad when we had to leave. The rooms decor was so classy, and instantly made it feel like a home from home. The communal areas were also to die for - we loved sitting with a drink looking out over the amazing views and chilling by the gorgeous pool areas. The restaurant was also incredible, we loved dining here and then chilling out by the fire afterwards - all in all a 10/10 relaxing experience. The surrounding areas are also stunning - we received some great suggestions of what to do in Plet by the owner of Emily Moon, and the walk we did in Robberg Nature Reserve ticked every box. We've already said we'd love to come back to Emily Moon one day - it is a truly special place.

Mini bar very overpriced. The bubble bath doesn't actually make any bubbles, and the slippers are those cheap disposable ones, which for the price could be better quality. Overall though we enjoyed our stay, we are not sure if it is worth the money paid.

The breakfast was a nice extra and delicious! Dinner at the restaurant was also outstanding. The room was neat and clean and the most beautiful location overlooking the winding river!

The bottled water provided in the room was the bare minimum. We ran out of water each day before dinner even though spending the day outside of the hotel.

Would be great if the restaurant was still open for lunch but I think they stopped doing this awhile ago. Maybe more comfy chairs or loungers for the rooms patio/deck

Everything was amazing, our room looked over the river and was almost completely private from neighbours. Lots of nice little touches in the room. We enjoyed also being able to take the kayak out on the river. The restaurant was also wonderful with great meals and well priced. Staff wonderful and kind. This was our favourite stay in South Africa

The view was just beautiful! We enjoyed staying at the pool in the evening and having a drink while watching sunset on the terrace! The interior was very special with a lot of little details! Food was also very delicious!

Magnificent location, eclectic and stunning interior design, warm & friendly staff, delicious food (for goodness sake have the butter chicken curry, it is life-affirming), and views for days that change every 10 minutes as the sun moves along its course. Highly recommend.

This is such a beautiful location we didn’t make it into town. We chose the restaurant first and accommodation second so we could relax and enjoy my birthday celebration. The food was incredible (and so affordable) and the hospitality some of the best we’ve had in SA.

Unfortunately our sleep was disturbed by the noisy air conditioner and fridge switching on and off. Perhaps the fridge could be placed in the cupboard in the dressing room?

Breakfast was good. I just didn't like being forced to sit at a table right next to a family with 3 noisy small children just because the waiters all wanted the tables they were serving to be close to one another. We loved the canoeing and swimming in the pool. And our request for a special table for dinner (it was our wedding anniversary) was successful, making our evening even more special. The food was delicious and service was very good.
