Beautiful setting with Mountain View. Staff were friendly and engaging. Room was a high standard. Breakfast was excellent. Definitely would recommend and revisit.

Airco is not avaliable in all rooms, we upgraded to an airco room but it was so loud we couldn't use it at night...

Pretty winefarm away from the noise with cute rooms and very nice staff. The breakfast buffet was really nice and the surroundings are beautiful to stroll around. Also the rooms are beautiful and equipped with everything you need.

The pool area is a bit farther away from the main building, so it would be nice if it's actively serviced. Also if noone books dinner, most (or all?) staff leaves early which makes the entire property feel quite abondened.

We really enjoyed our stay on Knorhoek from the moment we entered. We were greeted by the nicest security (female!) guard and you then drive past beautifully maintained fields of flowers. The cottage was 'victorian' style and had everything we need for cooking and a braai (bbq). We had the luck of having nobody next to us whereby we had a ton of privacy and a small garden for ourselves. Even when we went to the swimming pool the first day we had it for ourselves, where you can fall asleep listening to the sound of the wind going through the trees. We had dinner one evening (need to prebook in the morning/afternoon) which was really tasteful and served by a super friendly waitress

Even the high expectations were exceeded due to the perfectly friendly and hospitable staff, the grand private cottage on the wine farm, with combined authenticity and superior comfort, the extensive breakfast (buffet) on the sun terrace, the various nice and beautiful hikes on and around the property and to top it all the immediate vicinity of Restaurant Gåte at Quoin Rock; the sublime food with great wine pairing and the inimitable waiter(s) and lady-sommelier made us (almost) cry from sheer happiness......

Stellenbosch is a beautiful town but can be busy, so staying on a wine farm was perfect for us. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, even offered us a glass of their wine when we checked in. The grounds are beautiful and really give you that country feel. There are even short hikes that you can do. You can see the vineyards and have a wine tasting and lunch. The accommodation was exactly like the pictures, beds we big and comfortable, everything was clean and had all those small extra touches, like rusks (South Africa biscuits) and the option of having wine from the mini bar with beautiful wine glasses, the products in the room were L'Occitane. The bathroom had a big shower and wonderful big bath! The ceilings were low in the loft family room, but it didn't bother us, it added to decor and feel. We loved that you only had to check out between 11am and 11:30, which meant we could get us leisurely. 😉

We struggled with a lot of mosquitoes, which made it hard to sleep. I had to kill 10 during my stay as they were buzzing around our ears keeping us awake and biting my children. Also we were in a loft unit which had very steep and narrow stairs that felt a bit dangerous.

Breakfast was excellent. It’s a limited offering, but they do a lovely job and they care to cater to your specifications and dietary restrictions. Located in a beautiful setting in the heart of nature but nonetheless close enough to town. Kids had fun seeing zebra, boks and peacocks. Service was very friendly and attentive.

We thought the bottled water in the room was complimentary however we had to pay for it which was a surprise as we felt it should of been part of the room expense.
