One of the best B&Bs we've stayed at

The house is located a short walk away from the main town street with all the restaurants. Check in was easy and parking is available directly outside the rooms. The rooms are very well furnished with large bathroom and a private patio. Breakfast was very good in dining room or outside on the patio. The grounds and gardens are extensive and very well maintained.

The guesthouse was in an excellent location, within walking distance of restaurants and the town centre. The room was large with its own veranda and and seating area and the view of the olive trees and mountains was stunning. Breakfast was plentiful and excellent. The area felt felt very safe. The owner was very helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions and places to visit.

Loved everything!

Wow did we enjoy this location. The view over the estate from our room was amazing. The rooms are very spacious will everything you need. The breakfast was superb! To top it, the owners took the liberty of booking a table at a local restaurant for us due to the fact that the town was relatively fully booked (and yes we didn't even think of this before arriving in the town), this was such a lovely touch Ant & Pam, so thoughtful of you! We would definitely recommend this guesthouse to others.

Everything was perfect. The guesthouse is set on the edge of the village in a quiet area but close enough to walk to. The setting is so picturesque with the mountains and ponds. The accommodation was spacious and private and immaculate. The hosts were great - very focused on making your stay perfect. The breakfast was fabulous with fresh fruit salad and yoghurt, full cooked breakfast, followed by croissants and homemade jams. Loved our stay here!

There isn't anything to dislike at all.

I last stayed at Montagu Vines in 2005. This time, I brought my most favourite person. M.V., is still as beautiful as it was then. Pam and Anthony were so very welcoming, bringing us a chilled carafe of Chenin Blanc at 5pm - a delightful gesture. Our room was exquisite and pristine; beautiful bedding with great pillows. A cosy sofa, a spacious wardrobe which housed a safe, though we didn't need it, and enough space for our luggage. The bathroom was equally spacious and very well equipped. Fluffy, white towels, too! Wherever you sit in the garden is a visual feast. There is a mountain range, olive groves, a lake and more flowers and shrubs that you can count. It's heavenly. Breakfast was perfect, as was Pam's restaurant recommendation, which was within walking distance. My only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

This exceptional property offers a unique setting with stunning views over an immaculate garden and the striking Langeberg mountains. The hosts were very friendly, generous in offering our party welcome drinks to settle us down and were engaging without being overbearing - perfect hosts! The well appointed rooms are spacious and perfectly comfortable. The breakfast offering was beyond expectation and most enjoyable!

The only thing I didn't like was that we hadn't booked a longer stay.

Perfection! What more can I say? Everything about Montgu Vines Guesthouse was superlative. Montagu Vines offers tranquil grounds; spotlessly clean, spacious rooms; a scrumptious breakfast served with elegance and panache; and the most gracious and interesting hosts you could ever hope to encounter. Our hosts even made dinner reservations for us ahead of our arrival for the best spot in town. (Thank you, Pam, for your thoughtfulness!) Would absolutely book again--and stay longer!
