Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

neighbourhood a bit dodgy in the evening, attempt to to mug me, beggars.

Constant chair squealing noise during breakfast/dinner hours on the 10th floor rooms due to chairs continuously being repositioned as people sit/get up on the 11th floor restaurant.
Great room with mountain views, great breakfast, good central location. The staff tried their best to accommodate us in a room with minimal noise as they are currently going through renovations during day time hours.

Lovely large room with view of Table Mountain. We were travelling by Rovos Rail the following day so ideal location to walk over to the station. Good breakfast selection

The rooftop bar and pool was not in use and renovations were taking place, noisy.
Location and big room, with space to work. Exceptionally friendly front desk staff, wine on arrival.

The renovations were not the most convenient. It caused some noise disturbance. Also the shower did not have proper ventilation to let out the moisture so the room smelled damp. Mold might be a problem long term. There was also nowhere to place the shower gel or soap inside the shower, it was ridiculous. You have to put everything on the floor or physically get all the way out of the shower to find a surface to place anything. Furthermore, the rooms are a tad small.
It was not too far from the V&A waterfront, less than a 10 min drive.

Pool was like a joke... more like a bathtub for 2. Renovation was going on when we were there!
Good breakfast. The little bar next to the reception. Good midrange rooms. Quite ok little gym. Central location. Parking.

The communication with staff was testing. As a customer I tried to make reception aware of an earlier checkout, but no one seemed interested. Likewise re taxi arrival, or booking of a table in the restaurant. Nothing was of interest to the reception staff… then on one occasion we arrived at Haralds Bar to find that we didn’t have a terrace table as it needed to be reserved, whilst reception said not!
Good value for money, with nice rooftop restaurant and bar. Lovely breakfast, spacious room.

I was nervous about travelling to Cape Town as a solo traveller, but staying at the Park Inn Radison in the V&A district made me have an incredible trip, that made me feel safer and very comfortable. My hotel room was very big and clean and staff were very attentive with any request that I had. Their friendly customer service made my trip seamless and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great location, comfortable spacious rooms and it was very quiet at night considering the central location. The rooftop terrace has an excellent view of Table Mountain and good cocktails. The hotel has a locked luggage storage room with an attendant, this was very convenient for checking out early and exploring the town. The area outside feels safe as there are attendants around the outside of the hotel all the time (even around 9-10 pm). During the day, there are plenty of public safety officers on patrol so as a woman walking on my own, the area feels quite safe.
