That I had to go back to my room and order for room service after I had gone down to the restaurant to have a better look at the menu because the menu on the tv wasn’t stable enough for me to look and decide. I went back to the room only to be told by room service the preferred food wasn’t on room service menu

Breakfast options were great. Alacate menus was somehow ok. But considering the fact that it houses a lot foriegn nationals, the menu options should be added on. Example is having some sauce (mostly tomato) to complement the steamed rice on the menu. Have other rice options for diners to choose. Also I think the room service menu is not enough. Finally room service should be made available for order at the restaurant.

I was surprised when asked about housekeeping cleaning my room, which isn't a major issue, just not something I've encountered at hotels before. I was in the middle of a nap when the manager passed by, so pretty disorientating for me, but I could have easily placed the DND sign on the door as well. It's not a deal-breaker, just an uncommon experience for me.

An amazing stay at The Maslow! Seamless check-in and out, delightful breakfasts, and efficient in-room dining made for a truly enjoyable experience. The staff were friendly, and I highly recommend it. Don't miss out on the incredible Old Fashioned at Lacuna Bar – a must-try for whiskey lovers in JHB.

The rooms were rather small for the amount charged. When I booked I chose garden and city view but I was not allocated that room at check in although I was charged that amount. Restaurant only takes orders after 12 midday.

It’s located a perfect part of town. Room service is prompt Auxiliary hotel staff were friendly

Found my room unlocked on return from a day's outing, and the safe not taking my password as if it has been tampered with! when I informed the receptionist manager tried to lecture me abt how their door worked and how the cleaner must have left the door partially open and she went on to lecture me on how to operate a safe that I have been using the whole time, 1st they blamed a nail clipper that we had stored in the safe with other items, then it was the way I was opening the safe then it was maybe the batteries needed changing! all of this time was wasted while I had guests waiting for me to have dinner downstairs.

The rooms are very comfortable and clean, and breakfast top notch loved their coffee, cappuccino to be precise, that is made by the barrister behind the counter, not the one from the machine. The dinner menu is huge; there's something for everyone, including the kids' menu. The staff were very kind and accommodating, including their barman.

The fact that you cannot vape non-nicotine devices outside on the balcony isa bit off putting as you have to go all the way down and outside. If you're enjoying drinks and not keen on company or want to lounge in your jammies and vape unfortunately The Maslow is not the place for you, but if you are okay to dress up everytime to have a puff then its perfect. The food and drinks are also totally over priced, we paid R470 for a bottle of Graham Beck Rose.

The concierge was super friendly and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room that really exceeded our expectations. The space was clean and the Knots was super helpful and friendly. The housekeeping team was also exceptionally friendly and helpful, they even offered to close our curtains and open the bed at night time. Next level service.

I had an emergency in the morning. I called the restaurant and requested that they pack my order as time was not on my side. To my dismay I was told that I should have made an arrangement the previous night and there was nothing they could do for me. Perhaps more agility/flexibility on their restaurant staff could have gone a long was in assisting a client in need.

The room was clean, very comfortable and tastefully decorated. It felt like home and the lady at the front desk, Nondumiso was very helpful and meticulous in her work. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys a comfortable and peaceful stay in Johannesburg.
