눉The lodge is said to be a TGCSA 5 star establishment, and is priced accordingly. However, it fails the standards of other 5 star establishments in the following aspects: there is no cell phone signal in the rooms, and weak to no signal everywhere else; said to be WiFi, but there is nothing in the room or room directory (password etc). When I asked the restaurant for the restaurant's WiFi password, I was told I would have to pay (PAY?) a minimum of R75 to use it; no television in the room; no telephone in the room - thus no way to communicate to anyone outside the lodge (no cell phone signal); no way to communicate with lodge staff (I was ill, and there was no one to assist); no way to book spa appointments - and no staff around to assist before 07:30; and breakfast is only served at 09:00. From my and my husband's previous and current bookings made through booking.com, it is clear that we frequently visit superior establishments across SA. This is the first stay that left us feeling misinformed and ripped off. Not what we have come to expect from booking.com's recommendations.

눉The WiFi access was very expensive and mostly didn't work but in some ways it was good to be completely away from everything.
눇The staff just couldn't do enough for you. I have never felt so spoiled. The Chef was unbelievable & the quality of the food was excellent.

눉Dimly lit bathrooms, hot water in the shower was an issue, bed not the best. No air conditioning in the rooms which may be a problem in the summer months.
눇Staff were excellent, food was awesome, the setting was great. Nicely heated rooms with electric blankets. Dinner by the Boma was a great experience.
