“Besides the incredible location we absolutely loved the ambience, From the moment the Riad door was open you felt at home, so warmly welcomed.. sitting in the courtyard under the orange trees was luxury plus... an Oasis Enormous thank you to Fred, Cathy and the incredible team that run Riad Laaroussa for making our stay in Fes so memorable, we quickly became part of the 'Laaroussa' family. The Riad is special. Beautifully furnished, a fantastic renovation of an old building. We had the Red Room.. (up a steep flight of stairs) it was large, lots of light, very comfortable bed, very spacious bathroom. No TV, fridge, phone, or tea making facilities. We just loved this, as this is what makes staying in a Riad so unique. If you wanted to put wine etc in their fridge ... not a problem The Laaroussa team would go out of there way to do anything for you. Dinner & breakfast on the roof terrace was magic. It was a total treat to have a massage and experience the Hammam We would definitely stay here again !!! Recommend Riad Laaroussa highly 10/10”
“Rooms, breakfast, locations, building, evererything is excellent”
“Best food, great service, excellent value. Amanzing place in every regard.”
“Wonderful location at the medina, close to the blue gate. Ali, the manager of the riad, does a fantastic job caring for the tourists and always being in every detail.”
“Samir was a wonderful host! He cooked a wonderful dinner and breakfast, and he hired a local guide for us to wander the medina (and more importantly, help us negotiate with shopkeepers!). The room itself was gorgeous; plenty of space for two people. The sitting area was lovely, and it looked over the pool. The hammam was wonderful!”
“not only we were impressed by the interior and the detailed architecture, staff was super friendly, very helpful, generous, place was relaxing and very quite, all what I can tell you is that I will go again and you too meed to go!”
“The rooms are large and comfortable. The riad is stunning. The staff was superlative. The rooftop offers beautiful views of Fes.”
“great location that is only a few steps into the medina so accessible by taxis. very friendly staff and beautiful facilities! great view from the roof and happy hour fun the afternoon. delicious restaurant as well...”
“This Riad has it all: style, comfort, friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, a great location and incredibly beautiful internal courtyard, with it's own special Pose Parrot who whistles and sings all day long. We fell in love with this place an we intend to return next year. An added bonus was the guitar playing and singing that floated around the place created by Abdul. He and Omar were both warm and delightful hosts. We will stay longer on our return”
“Absolute overall best hotel I've ever stayed in. Staff, especially Dass and Azziz, went WAY out of their way to help us and make us comfortable.. The warren of connected stairs and rooms was fascinating, food was good, and bed was even adjustable. My sister and I had a suite, which I highly recommend.”
“We loved the riad with its traditional moroccan home style as well as the staff and the central location in the old medina.”
“Great host and hostess making us feel very welcome and comfortable”
“A true riad has trees in the courtyard, so this is a dar, but they're working on the trees. Unlike many proprietors, Katrin and Melle, a Belgian couple, live on the premises. Sound really carries in a riad, given the layout, but the kitchen was two doors removed from the courtyard, which helps a lot. The 5:30 call to prayer is not very loud here, which is a nice plus. Katrin came to find us where our taxi had dropped us off, having advised us where to go and how much to expect to pay. The walk to the riad was confusing, but we figured it out quickly. The riad is close to Cafe Clock (fun!!) and lots of things that you'd want to see in Fez, and it's a cheap ride by petit taxi to everywhere else. Melle volunteered to go to the train station to purchase our tickets to Marrakech, and he wouldn't accept a tip or cab fare. (We recommend advance purchase and 1st-class tickets, as you are more likely to get assigned seats next to the window and the air conditioning vents.) We originally booked a room for three, but the room was not available, so they gave us a room for two and a room for one at the same affordable price. Elodie, the French assistant, was generous with letting us use her computer and dealing with Morocco's internet, which has room for improvement. Laundry is 100 dirhams for an 8-kg. load, but we were charged 50, so we must have only had 4. Remarkable. They also found us a great tour guide, Mohammed Qlay (clay), whose help with negotiations at the weaving souk paid for the price of his services. Highest recommendations of one and all.”
“All the staff are friendly and helpful. The Riad is well placed and has an awesome terrace! We will be back! Good times.”
