Stayed here with my family for new years eve. The hotel is beautiful, staff are very helpful and friendly, the rooms are very comfortable and cosy. Our new years eve experience here was just perfect. I couldn't recommend it enough. The food and dancing was such fun. Thank you to all for making our experience in Ettal unforgettable.

The young women at the reception is so kind and sweet. The breakfast is super. The room is clean, the view is pretty. I would definitely love to stay again :)

Hotel Edelweiß was a lovely, quaint property in a quiet area of town. Our room had a door out onto a pretty patio, and was just a few steps from the main room where breakfast was served. The owner was friendly and helpful. I only wish we had been staying more than one night!

The service was excellent. The person assisting us during our check-in was very efficient and understood our reason for the delay and quickly completed the procedure. All the staffs we interacted with at the hotel were very courteous and helpful. We forgot to adjust our clocks for day light savings and almost missed our breakfast, but the host kindly reminded us and waited till we finished our breakfast. I can only recommend this place and we will definitely stay here again.

The location: it lies in a quiet area, however, a quick five minutes walk and you are in the town centre. Walk ten minutes in the opposite direction and you are right in the middle of the beautiful country side (and can start your walking/hiking trip). On warm/dry day breakfast can be taken either in the breakfast room or the adjacent garden. Whether you would like a healthy fruit, yoghurt and cereal or a hearty breakfast - the breakfast buffet caters for everyone. (Every morning) you even get a choice of freshly boiled/cooked/fried egg. Though they do not offer any other meals, there are plenty of restaurants close by. The place was very clean, the staff friendly and helpful - with a great sense of humour. - The rooms very homely, spacious and modern. Should I return to Oberammergau in the future, I would definitely stay there again.

The staff/ family was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the centre of the village and very nice decorated and comfortable. The breakfast is great, with lots of choices for local cheese and charcuterie.
