Our stay at Somerset house was amazing. The host is welcoming. I would hugely recommend this B&B. The host serves more than scrumptious breakfast with more options than I expected. The house is kept well and room was spacious and clean. Overall area is also good, just 20-25 mins drive from Winderemere.

The staff were absolutely lovely, and even upgraded our room free of charge as a goodwill gesture, which was just going well beyond expectations. I had stayed at here a couple of times in the past, when I was passing through and visiting friends, brought my partner this time and the stay was just lovely. One of my favourite places to stop when I’m in the Bay Area!

They were very kind and upgraded my room to an ensuite rather than external bathroom, very much appreciated! Comfortable room. Shower was great once I located the switch! I was tired after a long day. So just 😴..weather was horrible so missed the fantastic location and views until the morning. Beautiful location. 😍 great value 👏 Lovely staff. 😍

The welcome, the room (I was fortunate to get an upgrade my lucky day!). The evening meal and breakfast were both beautifully cooked and the atmosphere in the dining room is nice and relaxing. I chatted to quite a few people. The room was really lovely and the bed comfortable. I was also blessed with beautiful weather, the sunset and sunrise were both gorgeous over the estuary. I couldn't t stop taking photographs. The building has had a new coat of paint - lovely colour.

When we arrived we were greated by the manager and he was very friendly and upgraded us to a nicer room. It was a very comfortable room and had a nice bathroom. The food was lovely. It came hot and lots of it. The breakfast was nice too. There was bits in the bar that you can help yourself and a full English breakfast. Manager was very knowledgeable about the area and other places. Nice place to stay

Booked for a 2 year anniversary present and asked for a top floor view with a room, this was arranged for us no bother and wow what a view! Nice cosy room and clean, seen some bad reviews saying rooms were dirty and old, i say if you go on holiday and complain about a tiny bit of dust or paint flaking you need to get a life! Ate in the restaurant on the night, lovely food and huge portions, breakfast was lovely too, would defo return.
