Minshuku Kobayashi offers Japanese-style accommodations with Mount Fuji views. The Japanese Yukata robes are provided. A free shuttle is available to/from Kawaguchiko Train Station, a 15-minute drive away.

We could walk to the lakes and around Kawaguchiko adn really felt we were in the countriside which in itself has it's charm. I loved the idea of sleeping in a traditional Japanese house - you sleep on a mattress, the bathroom had all the amenities and plus there is a traditional bath there. They picked us up at the train station and also dropped us off - the owners were very nice, even though they didn't sleep English we managed to have a nice stay there.

The private hot spring in the bathroom was amazing and the dinner and breakfast were both delicious, the food was incredible! The view of Mt. Fuji from the hotel is also fantastic!

Just a 5-minute walk from Lake Kawaguchi in the Mount Fuji area, Resort Inn Fujihashi features free Wi-Fi throughout and offers traditional accommodation with Japanese futon bedding on a tatami (woven-straw) floor. It serves a Japanese-style breakfast and has barbecue facilities.

Location was great. If you walk from the train at night with luggage, there isn't much of a shoulder along the road, and it's about a kilometer, but doable! Then, it's really convenient to the lake and town, and to the tour bus stops.

Boasting a view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, Maruei feature warmly decorated Japanese-style rooms and is located a 15-minute bus ride from Kawaguchiko Train Station. The ryokan offers a traditional Japanese kaiseki meal for dinner. Free WiFi and free shuttle service from the nearby train station is available.

This was our favourite stay during our Japan trip. It was very easy to request the free shuttle transport from Kawaguchiko station and there was also free transport back to the station on check out. Check in process was smooth, overall service was great and they had English instructions printed out for guests to read. We loved the lake view from our room and our favourite part of the stay was the in room multi-course dinner which was exceptional. We used the private onsen (requires booking + extra fee) due to tattoos not being allowed in the public bath and enjoyed this, however we didn't get to see a view of Mt Fuji from the bath as we had an evening time slot.

Location and ease of access very good. The rooms were well equipped with plenty of heaters and extra blankets. The Onsen was lovey albeit a shares space though it was possible to lock the door thus make it private (not sure this would be appreciated if it had been busier)

Old wooden lodge in Japanese style with friendly owners how try to help. The breakfast (1500 Yen) was great even if it was a bit messed-up by ketchup. The room is small but for a night sufficient and pure Japanese style (Tatami/Futon). The bathroom and toilets are shared and it feels like using the owners area.

The house is positively gorgeous, and could not have been cleaner! Once we got inside, we were welcomed with comfortable slippers. The hosts have thoughtful amenities such as epsom salts and essential oils, yukata on the beds, amazing coffee and tea set up. The views out of the back of the house are absolutely unmatched!!! With all of the fresh snowfall before our arrival, we didn't access the outdoor firepit, but it looked very welcoming, and we would love to return another time, when we are more prepared for the weather.

Papa and Mama san were extremely welcoming and made our visit very enjoyable. They showed us the local onsen for a traditional experience as well as the local hiking trails. The communal table allowed us to meet other people and gain more insight into places to visit and food to eat!

The place is very cosy and peaceful. The hosts are wonderful, they were treating their guests like their own family, checking all the time if we needed anything and indulging us with cold tea and coffee. I also recommend the nearest onsen, especially in the evening when it' s not that hot.

The best place to stay in Saiko lake area. Papa and Mama San were amazing hosts. They treated us like family with plenty of tea, coffee and cake! Not to mention, their breakfast is amazing and worth the extra cost. The Japanese style rooms were beautiful and the whole place was cosy. There was an amazing onsen nearby too.

It felt like a home away from home, it’s very quaint with lovely views around. Mama and Papa always put the fire on to ensure it was warm. The futons were surprisingly very comfortable. Wonderful to have exceptional home cooked food made with love for breakfast, bonus points for catering to vegetarians. Onsen with insane mt fuji views 10 minute walk away (discount provided by hosts). Great conversations, such lovely people to be around!

Delicious breakfast! Well-balanced, vegetables, protein and gut health. Cozy lodge! The owners always made sure our room and hallway are always warm. Our kid loves them!! Very kid-friendly and always made sure our kid was always entertained. It's very close to an onsen and close to Iyashi no Sato Nenba, and Aokigahara Jukai. Communication was great! We will definitely stay here again!
