The nearest airport is Takamatsu Airport, 27 km from Onyado Shikishima-kan. Everything. Check-in was smooth, rooms were decently big enough with cute chairs in the room. Each room even has a filter coffee brewing kit with hand grinders and beans!! First time I've ever seen this. They have communal baths, but also 4 private baths. There is no reservation required and you simply go in when it's empty. Each of the 4 has different decor/themes so I highly recommend checking them all out. They also have various coloured yukata for both men and women to pick! No more boring blue yukatas. It's absolutely fantastic. Meals were a major highlight of the stay. Each little dish was so prefectly cooked with great balance of flavours. The waitress attending to us was also super friendly. In my two weeks in Japan, this is definitely top 3 in all the meals I had. I'm definitely coming back to stay. I recommend 2 night stay at least to fully enjoy the facilities. Or at least a full 2 days 1 night.

Featuring beautiful nature views from its rooftop hot spring bath, Hotel Kazurabashi offers Japanese-style rooms and a dining room where food is prepared in the hearth at the guest's table. For more relaxation, it has a sauna and a games room, while massages can be arranged. Very kind host, Yummy foods, and the restaurant was clean. We're happy the host shared with us a song and enjoyed the meal that they served. Happy to meet a guy from Hong Kong and he told us about the traditional foods of the area.

Guests can choose to stay in rooms with Western beds or Japanese futon bedding. The elegant rooms at Kadan Kotohira come with tatami-mat flooring and sliding paper screens. Amenities include an LCD TV, a DVD player and a fridge. Guests can choose to stay in Japanese-style houses, where Ogai Mori wrote his famous novel. The building is beautiful, the food was delicious and staff friendly. Baths are very enjoyable. It was an overall great experience.

The house is really nice, traditional japanese, huge, full of details and quiet. We stayed two nights and we enjoyed our stay so much. The japanese breakfast is delicius. Set 16 km from Fuji GRAND SHIGENOBU Shopping Centre, the property offers a garden and free private parking. Joruri-ji Temple is 22 km from the ryokan and Kaiganzan Iwaya-ji Temple is 37 km away. We absolutely loved this place. The host and staff are so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The house itself is lovely, an old renovated farm house, with plenty of space and a stunning view of the surrounding mountains. There is a small independent cafe attached which is not to be missed - amazing coffee and, again, the owner is just lovely. I would recommend traveling by car but the roads are easy to navigate, there is good parking and so much to do in the area (from hiking to canyoning and kayaking; and larger cities such as Matsuyama, and slightly further, Kochi, are not too far away - we even went into town by car one evening for the famous Dogo Onsen). All in all, not to be missed!
