I have spent months in Pokhara - due to the covid psychosis I was not able to return to my home country. Pokhara is an excellent place in Nepal and it is by far the best starting point for an enjoyable trek - Everest Base Camp trek is awful these days!!!

My three-day adventure in Pokhara, Nepal, in December was nothing short of spectacular. The breathtaking views of the majestic Himalayas left me in awe, creating a picturesque backdrop for my unforgettable journey. Engaging in thrilling activities such as paragliding, river rafting and zip-lining added an adrenaline rush to the experience, although the latter came at a hefty price. The zip line, while an exhilarating adventure, proved to be a splurge that might give budget-conscious travelers pause.
Beyond the adventures, Pokhara's culinary delights and vibrant nightlife truly enhanced my stay. The local cuisine was a delightful exploration of flavors, and the variety of dining options catered to diverse tastes. As night fell, the city came alive with a lively atmosphere, offering a diverse range of entertainment and socializing opportunities. Overall, my time in Pokhara was a perfect blend of natural beauty, thrilling activities, delectable cuisine, and vibrant nightlife, making it a destination I would eagerly recommend to fellow travelers seeking a memorable and multifaceted experience.

I really like Pokhara.
I really like Pokhara. Much cleaner and less congested than Kathmandu. Quite a lot to see and do, plenty of restaurants and shopping if that's your thing. Lakeside is very popular, as is the Annapurna Cable Car up to Sarangot - well worth it. Cheaper to eat and shop out of the main Lakeside, but generally prices less expensive than Thamel and people are genuinely friendly. I found a great little cafe in Sedi - Hill View. Very reasonable prices...coffee 60 rupees, and apple pancakes really delicious. You and I cafe and bookshop also does great food cooked to order, as does the Silk Road whete there's also evening entertainment. Plenty of taxis available, but the main shopping area is one very long street.

Pokhara is a relaxing place to stay after trekking with lots of activities if you want , cool bars and restaurants and much cleaner air than Kathmandu
There are excellent restaurants our favorite was Natsuul a Korean restaurant which was top class after all the daal baht !
Portland has our heart for being situated in one of the most prime locations in Pokhara by the lakeside. Shopping streets and restaurants that serve the best local cuisine is just a walk away from Portland. Owner Keshab, Manager Ravi, kitchen and house keeping staff were extremely prompt in addressing to our queries. The breakfast spread at the hotel could have been better. Tip while booking is to request for the lake view room at the 5th floor which also gives you the view to the Annapurna mountain range.
Overally property was very good. Facility and hospitality was in top. Staff were very kind, friendly, and respectful.
Food was also good. It was value for money. Our four day staycation went so smoothly and nicely. And also they organize a small surprise for us on our anniversary day and it was so overwhelming.
I would love to stay again here when will be on Nepal.
And also I would recommend my friends and families to spend their quality time in Bar Peepal Resort while visiting Pokhara.
The cleanest place I experienced in Nepal. It was spotless! Lakshmi, Bishnu and family are gracious and charming hosts who saw to my every need. Bishnu speaks and understands English really well, and gave a lot of insight and information about various topics pertaining to Nepal. The wifi password " Guest is God, says it all!! The location is excellent... very close to the shopping area of Lakeside, yet far enough to not be too noisy or busy. Outstanding value for money too...
This was my 6th visit to Pokhara. After Covid a lot has changed. And those places where I stayed previously closed down. But this Harmony Hotel was more than expected. The family run small property was very well maintained and clean. In Nepal electricity cut-down was normal everyday, but the solar panel on the roof was a good solution for such problems. And those solar panels were helpful for hot shower, and wifi connection. I will stay at this place if I visit Pokhara again.
We loved our stay in Hotel Yeti, it has comfortable rooms, hot showers and a really helpful manager. The hotel is beautiful, with lots of nice plants and flowers and a roof terrace to view the mountains - it is also conveniently located near the lakeside area with lots of cafes and restaurants.
They also do a delicious big breakfast that will keep you going all day.
We had a lovely time at Hotel Yeti and highly recommend it to anyone else visiting Pokhara.
One of the best places I stayed in Nepal. It is a budget friendly hotel, with very clean rooms and bathrooms. The family that runs the hotel is very kind, helpful and good people. The location is good as it is in walking distance front the main places of Pokhara Lakeside, bars and restaurants.
We were planning to stay only 2 days but we ended up extended our visit to 4 days, due to the hospitality of green hill view. Totally recommend it!
- Beautiful swimming pool with mountain view which we had all to ourselves due to low season. :)
- You can have a meal or snack of great quality at any place in the hotel, e.g. the 7th floor with view on the pool and mountains. Anything is possible in Nepal. :)
- Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Located in a hotel area close to the main street with shops, bars and restaurants and a few minutes walk from the river side.
It is a great place to stay the property is well managed the people are great and the pictures showed in the website actually match the property
I booked this hotel for my Family member in Nepal for Pokhara visit. My family members are very happy to stay in your property. They organize the trekking tour for them today they are going to ABC.The hotel makes my family very safe during their stay.
Great place to stay on lakeside. The rooms were very clean and updated. The bathroom is the nicest I have seen in nepal, and the bed was very comfortable. They have an awesome coffee shop and restaurant with a great view of Annapurna from the rooftop.
The owner is very knowledgeable about the surrounding areas and treks. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone.
They gave me a really nice room with a view! Location is great - short walking distance to the main street in Lakeside.
It is a family-run hotel that feels more like a nice home. Breakfast are home-cooked and you have to option to eat in the balcony of the room for a superb view of the lake and mountains.
Friendly & helpful staff, good breakfast, quiet location, great chill out zone amount gardens. My room was huge & had a shared balcony. Short walk from Lakeside, shops & restaurants Importantly for me, this hotel had reliable hot water & a good shower, which is not so prevalent in Nepal.
Fantastic view of the valley. From the roof and terrace you can see the Himalayas. It's just a 5-min walk to some other great viewpoints. The family running the hotel were just lovely and so helpful. The food was wonderful! Great value. Possibly our favorite stay in Nepal.
Best located hotel in lakeside, just close to the lake excellent lake view and fish tail Mountain View from hotel . The staffs are so kind and helpful with good knowledgeable all information about pokhara and hiking to the hill side beside the pokhara . I like the hotel
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and good staff & owner. The Hotel Grand Holiday is 2 minute walking distance to Fewa Lake and also many restaurants are few step walking distance to this hotel. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting to Pokhara, Nepal
The room we clean and big, the bed was very comfortable and sheets were clean, the western toilet and shower were as expected, typical to Nepal hotels, hot water worked fine, staff were very pleasant, location was great, clean towels were provided, wifi worked great.
Location is great (10 minutes from lakeside), rooms are very nice, shower is really hot (best one I had in Nepal) and the wifi works well. The owners are extremely helpful and can also organize tours - tickets for you. Highly recommended
The best of all hostels I stayed in Nepal. Its located on the lakeside. The shared rooms are spacious, clean and have a private washroom as well. The staff are friendly. It has good common area to relax in the evening.
