The facilities and layout were excellent with an en-suite bathroom and separate kitchen. A high standard of decoration and scrupulously clean. Comfortable bed & sofa to relax. Toiletries supplied along with soft towels and lots of little extras that made for a special stay. Lovely warm rooms. Kitchen well stocked equipment-wise (microwave, toaster, kettle, fridge) but no oven or hob. The supplied breakfasts were probably the best we've ever eaten or seen with plenty of fresh fruit, yoghuts, orange juice and (my favourite) real ground coffee! Decent wi-fi (10 Mbps). We've stayed in a few 10/10 places but this warrants 11/10 if not more. Only 100 metres from the railway station and 10 minutes or less walk into Church Stretton.

Loved the cosiness of the caravan, the views, and especially the friendliness of the host! She gave me tips on where to hike, what to look out for and mother to mother chats.

Great location, lovely walk up to the longmynd hills. Close to carding mill as well. The cottage was really well done to a very high standard, lovely welcome basket with some essentials. Chris was great and gave some advice on local area, we recommend the Ragleth pub for food 10/10. Will def be returning to this gem.

The hut is beautiful, great location in the countryside but close enough to Church Stretton to enjoy the local eateries. Great facilities, I loved the lake/pond very relaxing to swim in. Bed was very comfortable and we both slept very well. We had a brilliant time and would definitely like to stay again some time!

Great centre for a walking holiday in the Shropshire Hills.
Great centre for a walking holiday in the Shropshire Hills. Plenty of walks leave straight from the town.
Town has everything you need - shops (including a good outdoor equipment shop), pubs, restaurants.
Travel to and from by rail easy. Also to use the railway to visit other areas.

Church Stretton has everything you need - pubs, cafes, bakeries, restaurants and a large well-stocked Coop supermarket. The Kings Head was particularly cosy after a long walk, with free hot sausage rolls at 5pm. The Jaipur Indian restaurant has tasty good value dishes and you take your own alcohol. The surrounding area is easy to walk to from the town and the views are spectacular. Everything is in walking distance.

Lovely town and surrounding countryside is beautiful.
Lovely town and surrounding countryside is beautiful. Bucks Head Hotel is next to the church which has a clock that chimes all night. So one of our party who had a room on the church side of the Bucks Head had a disturbed nights sleep.
The town has some great pubs locally and a number of excellent cafes in the town.

Church Stretton is dying.
Church Stretton is dying. We have been going every September since 2010 but this year was the worst. It used to be a thriving place bit since lockdown and HF Holidays taking over the Long Mynd Hotel it has gone into terminal decline. The Kings Arms is a nice pub and decent food but that is about it. A great pity for locals and tourists alike.

Lovely town surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Lovely town surrounded by beautiful countryside.
Good access by road or rail.
Great Co-op. Plenty of parking. Free between 6pm and 8am and on a Sunday.
Everyone friendly and helpful.
Good meals at the Kings Arms and the Ragleth Inn in Little Stretton a short drive away. Also visited the Green Dragon where food looked good too. Can sit inside or out.
Can just wander around the town- nice independent shops or visit many different places within a short distance.

Everything was as one would hope for.
Everything was as one would hope for. Food was very good except for us portions were to generous.
All the staff were very helpful and very friendly.
The breakfasts were very good, with a good selection.
Again dinner was too generous with quantity of food.
Quality of food of both Breakfast and dinner was very good. The security of getting into your room, in that the door leading to the upstairs had a combination lock.
Also you obviously needed your room key to access your room. Generous car parking for all using the Yew Tree.
The area was great for walking with many hills and footpaths.
The only downside was there could have been moor hooks on the back of doors within the room and bath room door.

The property was right in the centre of Church Stretton excellent for the shops & pubs. The house had both a bath & shower with two comfy beds. Nice fittings & bedding. Toiletries were there together with great coffee & tea. Good communication with the owners who have acted upon the feedback left before. Church Stretton is in a beautiful part of the world with great pubs, independent shops with many eateries & stunning scenery. We will definitely stay again.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was comfortable and spacious for a family of four. The hosts are lovely people and we on hand to deal with any queries promptly. It is newly renovated and you can tell that they have thought about all the little details to make it a comfortable stay. The surroundings are very quiet and you can go straight out the door onto footpaths and bridleways to access fabulous walking. Can’t recommend this place highly enough.
The property and host were all you could wish for. The apartment was clean, comfortable and everything you could think of was provided. Bonus surprise afternoon cakes and biscuits. Excellent continental breakfast laid out in the kitchenette early every morning. Good location for access to all that Church Stretton offers and only 5 minutes from the rail station, or private parking right outside your front door.
The breakfast was exceptional and the room was very well presented with plenty of room to get ready or relax. We did some walks around the local area and enjoyed a trip to the nearby Church Stretton, it's a very peaceful location with walking access to two fab pubs & a bar in Mynd House too. I would absolutely recommend this as a place to stay.
The location of this property is close to Church Stretton which is near Cardingmill valley, a beautiful place to walk. Also close to the Long Mynd another lovely place for walking. The views over the Shropshire countryside are amazing. Lovely and quiet at night. Church Stretton is a small town but has lots of shops to look around.
Our second time staying at Ravelstone. The house is a good size for us. The beds are very comfy. We especially like the fact that it's so close to the centre of Church Stretton. The shops and pubs are small independent ones & there's a Joules pub which is fabulous! Also handy is the large Co-op in town.
The location was excellent. We walked out of the front door and there was a path to the hills and another to the town. The shops were five minutes away. There were plenty of good places in Church Stretton to get coffee and even cooked breakfasts. The cottage was well equipped and comfortable.
Immaculate room, big bathroom, great location in the centre of church stretton, and a friendly, covid-safe operation. Due to this, breakfast isn't cooked, but it's left outside your room and there are lots of options. Good value for money too - couldn't ask for more.
Church Stretton is a lovely town and a brilliant base for a walking holiday. Bromley Court is in a residential area, some 10 mins or so walk from pubs, cafes and Coop supermarket. Walks start almost at the door step. The property has allocated off street parking.
A hidden gem in Church Stretton, ideal base for walking the surrounding hills, only 10 mins drive to the top of long mynd (1600ft asl)
Plenty of space and a well thought out apartment in a very quiet area.
Will certainly return when back in the area.
Room s were very pleasant, nicely old-fashioned. View to garden and church lovely. Breakfast well-cooked. Church Stretton is great for a stop-over or short holiday, particularly for walkers
Really enjoyed the lovely garden.
Nice kitchen with plenty of cooking utensils & accessories
Quirky artistic decor.
Very handy for church stretton railway station
