We had a wonderful dual aspect room overlooking the old moat on two sides. Very comfortable bed. Great hot water for shower/bath. Lovely thick towels. The seating area was very comfortable and desk useful. I was visiting the Cathedral and it was just 2 minutes walk away. Perfect position. The hotel also had parking, which is important these days. Thank you to all the staff

Fabulous hotel with the most comfy and spotlessly clean room and best cooked breakfast you will find. Owners are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Made to feel really welcome. Would have no hesitation in staying here when next in the area and could recommend staying here without doubt. You will not be disappointed.
This is a great hotel which I could fault very little.
This is a great hotel which I could fault very little. We had dinner and breakfast and both were excellent - dinner by the open fire in the bar! Staff were efficient and pleasant, bedroom was comfortable - bathroom lovely. Thoroughly enjoyed our one night stay and would certainly stay again when in the area.

Stayed at the Greenman on several occasions and it never disappoints. The staff are welcoming and helpful. The rooms are cosy, clean and well appointed. The pubs setting is beautiful and the food is local and fresh. It is also close to some other great local Herefordian hostileries, The Crown and Anchor and The Butchers, both worth a visit. Highly recommend and we will be returning especially as it's such great value for money!

Great location and the pub has lots of character, parking is easy and feels secure. Rooms are quite small, but comfortable and adequate.
Food and beer is usually excellent.
Staff I’ve found over several visits to be mixed - some are excellent and a few have had a bit of an attitude in terms of making you feel like they are right and you are wrong e.g. I knew I’d paid in advance the room but told ‘no we don’t charge in advance’ … check your booking receipt!

Our stay was due to a visit to The RHS Malvern Show.
Our stay was due to a visit to The RHS Malvern Show. Although Fownhope is roughly 40-45 ins drive from Malvern the village is pretty with lots of well kept gardens and fairly quiet. Its a good base for exploring the area around Malvern, Hereford, Ross-on-Wye and the Cotswolds. A visit to Stow -On-the -Wold is a must along with Sudeley Castle, Kiftsgate Garden and Tewekesbury Abbey to name just a few places of interest.

Fownhope was lovely. Where we stayed at the Green Man Inn.
Fownhope was lovely. Where we stayed at the Green Man Inn. Was very disappointing.Room which was classed as large had what we first thought was a king-size bed. Turned out to be two single bed pushed together and covered to look like a king-size. No shower, a large bath with a shower fitting but no shower curtain . A wash basin thar kept draining when filling with water as the push down plug was faulty. Food was very poor on our second night over cooked and cold! Could not wait to leave. Booked for 3 nights and left after Two .

Fownhope is a lovely fairly quiet village, not too small.
Fownhope is a lovely fairly quiet village, not too small. A couple of small shops . Plenty of good walking along the river or just through the village itself. People are friendly, and The Green Man is a great place to stay to soak up the atmosphere.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Very well and tastefully decorated inside and out. Beautiful furniture, mixing old with new. All very boutique hotel decoration. Very good breakfast, items on offer chosen with care for their quality. Lovely garden design with interesting plants, all well cared for. Plenty of parking and river walks from the door step. A very pretty village.
We booked a small double room well the room was not small it was a comfortable size and the bathroom was nearly as big as the bedroom, with a powerful shower
Tea and coffee bags , very good quality ,bottled water supplied in the room, a big comfortable bed and a really nice breakfast finished off a very enjoyable stay
The Green Man has recently been refurbished and looked modern and appealing.
The breakfasts were really tasty and served promptly.
The outdoor area of the inn and village of Fownhope were both useful on the sunny days we were there.
This is a cozy welcoming comfortable hotel with lovely facilities, good food and friendly professional staff. A delight for a one/two night stay for a business traveller
