Absolutely amazing room......enormous......could be luxurious for 4 people and we were only 2. Large couch, high beams, small windows in roof as well as ordinary sized windows lower down the walls.
Fantastic bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. Very friendly staff. Extremely cheap. Lovely comfortable bed. Excellent quality cheap food and real ales etc downstairs. Everything very clean.

Traditional British breakfast well cooked with many options and choice available. Excellent restaurant for an evening meal should you require it with a wide choice of food available including fresh local sea fish. We used the restaurant twice and had faultless meals fairly priced. Great variety on the specials board as well.

A beautiful period house decorated in keeping with its age and full of interest. Our room was well appointed, dinky but we expected that. It was lovely, clean and warm.
The owners and staff were all extremely friendly and helpful and made us very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast offering was excellent, a good choice of fruit, cereal, hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfast menu was extensive and catered for all tastes. The vegetarian option was first class. Located a 5 minute walk into the main town we found this perfect, close to restaurants, coffee shops etc but away from the hustle and bustle. A bus stop was just opposite the hotel if you didn’t want to use the car for exploring. The hotel had a handy car park for guest use and the pretty garden was a quiet haven for relaxing with a bar facility. There was also a communal guest lounge for guests to use.All in all the Bridge House was the perfect choice for us.

There is so much to do in Bridport.
There is so much to do in Bridport. There are many pubs and restaurants and events. There is even a street market twice a week and a good variety of shops. Everything is within walking distance or you can take a bus. The beach is less than 2 miles away. Lots of hotels. Many charity shops. Very safe and friendly with narrow streets and oldie worldly charm and architecture. Good night life with theatre and music events to attract all ages. Good surrounding countryside for walks and pub meals. There is even a guided walk round the brewery.

There are so many places of interest both in and around Bridport. In the town itself there are plenty of places to both eat and drink. The buses take you to most of the surrounding places both big and small. But there are also very reasonable taxi services. Walking around Bridport is a joy as there are so many things to see and it has an interesting history. I can't think of any places I'd avoid.

Our stay was in West Bay just over a mile from Bridport. West Bay offers several choices of restaurant each offering local sea food. With its picturesque harbour there is plenty to see and do. From deep sea fishing trips to catching crabs or small fish around the harbour and pier. The cliff walks are spectacular as are the walks along the coastal paths. There are swimming pools in and around West Bay along with squash, badminton, tennis and table tennis facilities.

Great choice of pubs and restaurants in town, any staff I encountered were excellent. There’s a cinema, museum and plenty of independent shops for wet days. Decent bus service too to other places including Weymouth, Dorchester, Lyme Regis and Axminster.

Bridport is a nice little town with friendly people.
Bridport is a nice little town with friendly people. We like micro-brewery beer and there is a nice brewery in Bridport that gives great tours. We really wanted to visit West Bay and that was close and very nice. The whole area is very scenic.
These lodges are set in a stunning part of the Jurassic coast which is very peaceful. Its near a beautiful beach and walking distance to a hotel and a pub which serve great food. The hosts are very pleasant and the property was immaculately clean.
We had a 2 bed lodge which was great as I stayed with my Mum and it was perfect but might be a little small if there were 4 of you, It had a little garden at the back and its own parking space. We had beautiful weather and would return. Its not too far from Bridport so supermarket is nearby ,
The Hotel is in a beautiful 18 century building situated in a location close to the centre of Bridport. Bridport is a charming town with a nice array of independent shops. The beach ( Westbay) is less than two miles away. The Hotel staff are extremely friendly and helpful . I would recommend The Bridge House without hesitation as we enjoyed our stay immensely. Parking facilities, comfortable bed and an excellent breakfast are some of the reasons we will be back.
Almost central location, easy 5 minute walk of central Bridport. Incredible peace and quiet for such a central location, sometimes, just birds tweeting and nothing else. Great feel to this cottage, wonderful tasteful decor with period touches, one eye to the current, and a nod to the past. Would have loved to be there on colder days with a log burner providing additional ambience- maybe another day. I would return.
Great location, very central to Bridport. Had a parking space down just from the house. Pub opposite but not much noise as Winter. House was set over three floors. Everything we needed for an few nights stay. Clean and tidy, overall a lovely stay at an affordable price for the area. Clear concise information for self checkin and no noise from neighbours either side the property.
Breakfast was superb and the set price 3-course dinner, which changed every day, was high quality and good value. We had planned to dine out 50% of the time but we dined in the hotel restaurant every evening. We thought the hotel had done a very good job in managing the Covid-19 restrictions. We also appreciated the hotel's ethos in sourcing whatever they could locally.
Beds really comfy. Room quiet although over main street. Room very clean. Staff very pleasant despite being really busy.
Great location for wandering around Bridport. Possible to park close to hotel on the street between 5pm and 9am for free. Car park further down street for parking in day-time (charges apply).
You can eat and drink on site.
I thought the staff were a real highlight of the hotel. We spoke with three or four over the course of our stay, from checking in and checking out to being served at meals. They were all warm, sincere, and attentive in a way that made me think, wow, these guys are really good with guests. Someone here must have made this a priority.
We recieved a warm welcome, host was very helpful and friendly.
Breakfast was very good cooked fresh and plentiful.
Comfortable well equipped room and very quiet.
Location for us was perfect for West Bay and Bridport lovely area all very welcoming and local pub in West Bay fabulous delicious food..
Very much enjoyed a comfortable peaceful stay. Lovely kind hosts. Welcoming room with thoughtful touches like breakfast things and wine. Would absolutely stay again. Walking distance into Bridport centre, but bonus that all the local taxi drivers know the house due to its rainbow mural..
Fantastic week at the cottage, very peaceful, very private, great position, near enough to town, good bus links to weymouth and Lyme regis, easy walk to west bay. If we go back to this part of Dorset again this cottage would be the first place on our list to stay.
Excellent location in the centre of Bridport and very easy to find. Good sized living space and bedrooms. Lots of local information provided and the small library on the second floor landing was great. Loved the 'little touches' around the apartment.
Excellent location for West Bay and coastal walks. Bridport was a bit of a walk but do-able (we weren't driving!). Very handy having a Spa within a short walking distance. House was clean and well organised.
The only thing nice about this property is its location since it is located very close to the center of Bridport but there is hardly parking available on premise. The hosts Veda were nice and welcoming.
Every thing was tip top . The food was excellent both breakfast and the dinner menu had great choices. Very relaxing for a 2 day break. The hotel had all the comforts we wished for.
Brilliant Location opposite a stunning beach with super cafe, 10 mins to West Bay / another few minutes to Bridport.
Also visited The Acorn Inn at Evershott for a lovely lunch.
Plenty of eateries to choose from and although the hotel is located on a high street it was quite. Location excellent Only 20 minutes to Lyme Regis and 5 minutes to West Bay.
Private access, comprehensive instructions on arrival. Clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Easy to get to and a lovely part of Bridport.
