A lovely town with very pretty old buildings. The best meal we had was at the Mughal Knight Indian Restaurant (tip - bring your own drink they are not currently serving alcohol and there is no corkage charge for bring-your-own).

Great place ...lots of walks ... a few too many dog walkers which contributed to flies everywhere. But some great places to walk and near to Long Melford, Ickworth,... mass at Clare Priory was also great.

We only stayed for one night - I had brought my 76 year old mum back for a visit as she spent her summer holidays there staying with an aunt when she was a child. It is very quiet with some lovely walks and beautiful villages nearby. Lots of history. We had a lovely meal at the Cock Inn which was great value for money and really friendly staff.
The pod was the perfect size for a couple. Pretty much everything we could get with a normal hotel room was provided - bed with bedding, bedside table, bedside lamp, travel kettle. Although the site is off-grid, we only had to pay £3 to top up electricity (on top of the £2 already topped up by owner). The pod and the toilets and shower rooms were spotless and very close to pod.. The owners are friendly and helpful. Food is provided on site throughout day and it is cheap and tasty.
Great location, lovely site, and some beautiful sunsets in this quiet corner of Suffolk. Steve and Carol are happy and helpful hosts, on hand if needed, and Clare is a charming village with just about everything you need. The pods are clean and cosy, and the ducks and geese wandering about made the trip.
Place was really clean and comfortable. Debbie was there to welcome on arrival and was very friendly and helpful, breakfast was also really tasty! The accommodation is right beside the main area of Clare which is really nice and has some great little shops. Would 100% stay again.
Ideal location right in the centre of Clare. Not a lot of space, but well arranged to make best use of space available. Sweet little courtyard area outside. Received detailed and helpful instructions to access cottage, and it was ready ahead of scheduled time.
Excellent location, in centre of Clare, the room on a courtyard behind the main building, so very quiet. Very comfortable large bed. Excellent breakfast. Safe storage for bikes, in same courtyard.
Was clean and felt so secure , easy walk into Clare , owners made me feel very much at home and food was lovely , very dog friendly, definitely coming back with family thank you
Lovely cosy cottage in the centre of picturesque Clare. Well appointed, clean and in easy reach of all local amenities. Great comms from owners. A thoroughly pleasant stay
