Lynden is an old fashion community surrounded by dairy farmland not far from the Canadian border with great views of the Cascades. The whole town is very clean and neat with the historic downtown area a pleasure to see & visit.
There are some excellent eateries scattered about. EdAleen's dairy has the best ice cream I've tasted West of the Mississippi.

I’m glad the hotel is open during the COVID pandemic.
I’m glad the hotel is open during the COVID pandemic. The staff greet you with masks. The room was nice and accommodated my children well. The city if Lynden has not changed much since I went to school. I’m glad the park is still right next to the Darigold buildings. My daughter recognized the brand and was like is this where we get our milk from?

Lynden is a lovely, clean, and people seem very nice. It is obvious that the people who live here have a work ethic and high personal standards. We ate well between Cancun Restaurant and Avenue Bread for our meals.

Lynden is a very cute Dutch-influenced town but it does not always feel very friendly or welcoming to non-white people or outsiders. It is slowly becoming more diverse and open. The Village Books store has added a lot.
Bellingham isn't what it once was. Nowadays all the budget motels are full of transient drug addicts looking for their next fix. Obviously that doesn't make for a peaceful night's rest or a nice facility. But alas! The Windmill Inn in Lynden has yet to be affected by this scourge. I was so happy to find a small, quiet, and peaceful motel to stay for a few nights without having to worry about my car getting broken into or being stabbed for my wallet! It's nothing fancy but the rooms are clean and the price is right.
Lovely renovation of a historic building. Bed was very comfortable. Room and bathroom very clean. Good size fridge with nice selection of sodas, tea, juices. Keurig coffee maker and good tea selection options also very nice. Lobby area comfortable . Adjacent to good breakfast and lunch options in building.
Hotel provided free bicycles and provided maps w touring options around town. Bikes were fairly new and in excellent working order. Hotel also provided free passes to local gym/pool and local history museum.
The Inn at Lynden was great- the facilities were very clean, the style of the inn spot on and the staff super friendly. I wish we had stayed longer- we did have breakfast at Avenue Bread, accessible directly though the lobby whcih was also a great amenity and very tasty! I would have loved to try the tap room also accessible through the lobby, but we arrived to late to stop in!
We absolutely loved it. Superb good and friendly staff. Really nice rooms. Lynden is a really nice little city that you should visit, it is really walking friendly and has lots a nice little shops. The city itself is worth a trip and this Inn is the place to stay for that.
Clean, orderly, plenty of amenities, including free still water, I hate when hotels charge for a bottle of water. The staff was spectacular, all around highly recommend !!!!!!! Did I mention food, drink, shopping within walking distance, and bikes available too.
The condo was in an ideal location for our travels. Close to restaurants, shops and a short drive to Bellingham. Also, a delightful area to walk in the neighborhoods with lots of flowers and trees. Would definitely stay at this facility again.
The charm of this hotel exceeded my expectations. The staff were so hospitable and accommodating. I personally highly recommend this hotel. The sports bar right in the hotel, bookstore and corner eatery within the building as well.
The room was clean and comfortable as usual. The price was excellent for a 1 bedroom suite. I always stay here when I go up to Lynden. A great place to relax and enjoy the surrounding small towns. And so close to Canada.
Lovely quaint town , hotel situated right on the Main Street , so very convenient to shops and restaurants.
Staff was great , gave us a room upgrade and we would have stayed another night if we were not moving on.
The staff was very welcoming and professional. One of them even walked me to my room and ensured that everything was to my liking. The location is perfect to walk anywhere in the downtown area of Lynden.
it’s a great location for exploring Lynden and en route to Bellingham. walkable to restaurants, grocery store etc. shower was hot with good pressure (but fan was broken).
Everything was great! Staff, clean room, furniture in the hotel. You'll find everything you need in the room. Great cafe, taproom and bookstore in the building.
Situated downtown Lynden which is a very nice Dutch orientated village. Very friendly reception and complimentary basket with snacks and drinks in the room.
