Very relaxing town, but with all the mod cons, shops and restaurants.
We had a great meal at the "Old Saracen" restaurant. And snacks and pizza in town. The old town on top of the cliff is quite impressive and atmospheric, there are nice restaurants and bars there, too.
There is no good information about the bus service, the stops and timetables are difficult or impossible to find. Rail travel is easy, for example to Paestum or Salerno, but the busses are very badly organized. The beach at Trentova is horribly crowded and thick with seaweed and rocky. Go swimming at Paestum (Laura) instead.

A pretty old town with a castle that can be visited on a steep cliff above the sea. The new town is not over-touristy with a lot of genuin Italian atmosphere but also a lot of noisy traffic. Generally the South of Italy seems to be populated by people heavily dependant on constant car use which some may find quite old-school. A lot of unnecessary plastic is in use everywhere and there is still a lot of room for improvement concerning protection of the environment.

Nice town with old part with Aragonése castle (2euro entry).
Nice town with old part with Aragonése castle (2euro entry). Municipal long beach along the embankment to the North, but nicer beach located 1,5 km SW (at the opposite side of the town) Could be overcrowded in high season.
Paestum Greek temples nearby worth seeing anyway - best preserved Greek temples in Mediterrannean and arch.museum.

A resort/working town.
A resort/working town. I have stayed here before and found it a good place to stay. Not the best to drive around but that is not a reason to stay away. I do like the area around the city and Paestum is a bonus.

Perfect place to relax and enjoy a beautiful, more quiet area on the Amalfi Coast. Baia Trentova is a secluded beach; clear, shallow, soft sand. Near Paestum, an extraordinary Ancient Greek and Roman city, with stunning almost intact temples

A beautiful ancient city.
A beautiful ancient city. The Port of Agropoli and and the Mediterranean Sea are breathtaking. The Angioino-Aragonese Castle is stunning. The buzz on the street in the evening was amazing, so much fun. Lots of wonderful restaurants, quaint shops, cafes, etc. Downtown was a short walk away and had everything we needed. The food was, well, you can imagine. Agropoli has a brand-new train station that made it easy to get to from the major cities, and afforded cheap and fast access to other locations in Campania, like the Paestum and the beautiful beaches further down the coast. The hill walking was intense, as Agropoli--like much of southern Italy--is built on a hill. We really loved it.
The hotel was phenomenal from stepping into the reception with helpful staff, the spotless room with every amenity you need, stunning views, clean and LARGE pool, steps from their private beach with a lifeguard. Allocated sunloungers for the stay meant everyone had a great spot with no pressure or rushing for one. Breakfast buffet was plentiful with a full range and drinks made on demand. Pool bar made food and drinks at a reasonable price. Staff made this 10/10 for us, always helpful and going out of their way for nice touches.
Agnese is a kind and warm host! She's very helpful and always cares for her guests. The B&B is always very clean and the position is very good especially if you reach Agropoli by train since it is at walk distance from the train station (no noise at all) and at the same time it's close to both beaches and the city center. You can also find very easily a post office and a supermarket in the neighborhood. The breakfast is reach and vary. I really enjoyed my stay at Maree B&B!
Very centrally located apartment both very near the old town and beaches in Agropoli. It's a great base for a beach holiday or to explore the wider area. There are lots of places to eat and drink in Agropoli within walking distance. It's easy to visit the Cilento coast and Paestum by car, or to go further afield to Salerno, Naples or Caserta either by car or train. Giuseppe is a very welcoming host and very happy to help with local tips as well as excursions.
Large spacious room, well lighted & nicely decorated. The bathroom was a good size for Italy and the shower was great. We parked in a nearby parking lot that was free when we were there in early April and it was a 5 minutes walk to the apartment building w/ suitcases. We waited outside the building cause we didn’t know how to get in. Giovanna gave us lots of recommendations. Ristorante Pizzeria da Ciccio was great. Reasonable price and good food.
If you're looking for a nice place to stay as a couple in Agropoli this is the right place!
The apartment is located right on the main piazza, it's brand new and very well equipped with everything from a flat screen TV to a washing machine, all in the privacy of a sixth floor building with an elevator.
Francesco is very nice and talkative, just waiting to give out helpful advice and to make your stay pleasant. 100% would come back.
Our host was wonderful! Antonino picked us up from the train station, upgraded our room, gave us recommendations for dinner. The room was clean and had a spectacular view of the ocean. The B&B is in the historic part of town overlooking the ocean. We were able to access everything with walking, dinning, shops, beach and pier. Agropoli is a very pretty town. We will return again and stay at Borgo dei Saraceni.
Beautiful newly renovated B&B located within walking distance of both the historic center and the beaches of Agropoli. Free parking was a huge bonus and was located behind a secured gate. The family running the new b&B is SO kind and even bought my husband a cake for the morning when we mentioned it was his birthday! Breakfast was also delicious and generous. Would happily stay again
Very nice guest house in the rural suburb of Agropoli. Comfortable rooms with panoramic view toward the seaside and the historical centre of Agropoli. Very good breakfast with fresh local produced fruits and culinary specialities. Finally, I have to point out Aldo's hospitality and kindness, which really make me feel as a client who was treated as a regular guest of the house.
Incredible hospitality from Francesco and his family. They were warm and welcoming, giving great suggestions on places to visit and restaurants to try. The new snack bar by the pool was excellent too. Agropoli was away from the tourist traps, with wonderful people. It was also very family friendly. The sunsets were amazing, whether at the patio or down at the beach.
Wow! What a great ocean view apartment! This was one of our favourite stays on our entire 2 week road trip through Italy. Every little detail was thought of and the host is very communicative. Agropoli itself is also worth coming to as it is beautiful 🙂 Thanks for everything!
If you’re thinking of staying in Agropoli this is the perfect apartment for your trip. The breakfast is great, it’s a very short walk into the local square and close to the old town which is beautiful. The hosts are amazing, super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
A great villa, with fantastic views of the Agropoli bay. The owner has left many extras in the villa, such as additional pots, pans, cutlery etc. Added to a nice seating area outside in a small but maintained garden. Parking is inside the the garden so very secure.
nice family room with great sea view / Harbour. 3minutes walk to Piazza of Agropoli and the historic part of Agropoli.
We like the old custom building, who was transformed into a hotel.
Friendly and helpfull host. Perfect location for the beach.
We prefered the room with balcony, from which we enjoyed the very fantastic sunset.
First choise when returning to Agropoli.

The owner is a sweet and very kind lady
You won’t have any difficult getting her being southern

The hotel has a beautiful interior design, was very clean and has a good stuff. The hotel is located in the center of the city and about 100 meters from public beaches.
