Ischia is lovely and scenic with an ancient history.
Ischia is lovely and scenic with an ancient history. Thermal springs abound all over the island and several spas abound to fir all budgets and needs. The local cuisine is seafood, mostly,
the freshest and most varied I’ve ever run across though their best known specialty is a delicious rabbit dish.
There are several picturesque historical sights and local vineyards to sample their lovely local wines. This is the second vacation we’ve taken there and look forward to our next!
I would recommend the town of Forio, it being 25 minutes by car from the ferry port and central to other sights.

I spent 6 days on Ischia and explored 80% of island.
I spent 6 days on Ischia and explored 80% of island.
I would recommend Forio region for an accommodation. There are more attractions and more active night live.
Sorgeto Thermal with amazing view and bars (only two, but staff is nice).
The beaches are beautiful everywhere but Maronti Beach. Maronti beach was the the dirtiest one I've visited there.
I love italian cuisine, so any restaurant is TOP. There are also markets where you can buy snack, and I found one big supermarket.
Ischia is perfect for half-day hiking to Monte Epomeo, where is restaurant with home-grow and home-made food. You just don't have a choice, there is one delicious food to order.
Regarding public transport. At the beginning it seems as a chaos, but the public transport is really well organised. Roads are narrow and curved, but drivers are skilled.
I recommend to rent a scooter.
People are nice and kind!

Really liked the location. Walking distance to town.
Really liked the location. Walking distance to town. Maria was lovely and very helpful with providing rides when needed. The rooms were very new and clean. Our only issue was the elevator as the alternative staircase is a small spiral one. Hopefully they get their elevator issues sorted out.

Ischia is an amazing place.
Ischia is an amazing place. It is my favourite destination in Italy for now. I will be coming back. It is perfect for families, couples and anyone who loves sun, italian culture, good food and nature. The local people are very friendly and admirable <3.
I loved the beautiful garden
The best breakfast in Italy , and a fresh cake each morning made by the owners
Lovely pool , older style hotel , but kept lovely and clean , very clean
Family run hotel , beautiful kind family with 2 gorgeous girls , they even messaged me to see if I arrived in Naples safely
They recommended me to the best restaurants , I felt like family staying there
Very close to all the wonderful shopping and dining
Feel very safe walking home in the evenings , I love Ischia , fabulous for solo travel
Ischia Blu is the kind of place that you dream of returning to. I have been to many places in Italy and it is by far the best. It is secluded, yet a 5 minute walk to shops and amazing restaurants. Alessandro and his wife Sylvia are the quintessential hosts, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. I just left and already cannot wait to return. The best advice I can give is to not only book, but book for 3x the length of stay you planned, because time will fly while staying in this slice of heaven.
The hotel itself is quite beautiful and everyone on the staff is so friendly, accommodating, and sweet. Many different angles of the hotel have beautiful views. The restaurant serves great food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, they even have eggs, bacon, and French toast, etc. which isn't common here in Italy. My friend and I were able to easily walk around Ischia. We never caught a cab at all. Also, the spa in the hotel is amazing!!! My friend really loved her massage and I loved my nails.
Boutique style hotel, ideal location, great staff. All public areas including the seafront restaurant, bar, pool, private beach were excellent. Overlooking the Aragon castle of Ischia and 2 minute walk to the restaurants and shops in Ischia Ponte. It is a 10 minute walk the other way to the start of the shops and restaurants in Ischia town center and about 20 – 25 minutes to the main Port and surrounding restaurants. The bus #7 passes the hotel every 10 -15 minutes and travels to the port.
Everything was amazing! The room was clean and as pictured. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. I felt comfortable communicating knowing only a little Italian - most of the staff speaks at least some English. Our room had the most beautiful view of the sea. Be sure to visit the terrace above the rooftop pool for an incredible view of the island. The hotel is in a perfect location. The rooftop pool was never crowded. The thermal spa was great. We can’t wait to come back!
I honestly can't speak highly enough of Andrea and all the team that run this amazing hotel, we were part of a wedding party and from the moment we arrived until the moment we left they could not do enough for us and made a special occasion even more special. The rooms are great, the cleaning staff so pleasant and helpful and the location is ideal to explore both ends of Ischia Porto/Ponte. Thanks again everyone at Hotel Europa and we hope to see you again very soon
Very nice place with all the facilities at the best level of service! Seaside down the stairs, 2 pools, perfect places for sunbathing with great views. Very good breakfast and dinner (half board included). Cleaning everyday, bus shuttle options (6 min to the Ischia port), close to the city bus stop. SPA options, small gym available. Terraces and garden. Great staff in the restaurant, in general the whole staff is very polity and friendly- thank you for that!
The Hotel Tritone is a beautiful property with amazing views and well-appointed rooms. We enjoyed having breakfast on property each morning but chose to eat at local restaurants for dinner. There was a nice beach cafe on the beach that served sandwiches and snacks during the day. The property is well maintained and beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful. We especially liked this hotel and island because it was not touristy. Highly recommend!
Everything was perfect at this hotel. The clean, warm, and comfortable rooms, the amazing spa, and the great food and service.. All the hotel staff were very welcoming, helpful, and friendly. I wanted a few days in a hotel with the spa, and this one definitely had one of the best spas I've stayed in. I was made to feel welcome, safe, and comfortable throughout my stay. This hotel is definitely somewhere I would come to again.
Our stay was amazing! The location is perfect, right in the heart of Ischia Ponte, everything is easily reachable. The room was clean and cozy, spacious, everything inside worked perfectly. Breakfast was delicious, the whole stay felt like home away from home, especially because Anna was the perfect host and available all the time for any questions or bookings. We would recommend Villa Lieta and Anna to everyone!!
absolutely gorgeous villa, wonderful staff, everyone was very helpful for our first visit to Ischia. I highly recommend staying here and will be back. The most relaxing part of our trip to Italy has been staying at Villa Maria. Wonderful yoga teacher available for group and private classes too. the most exquisite yoga studio in Italy.
Very friendly family run hotel. The staff was always available to provide suggestions on what to do and see on the island. Immaculately clean. Good location near Aragonese Castle. Walking distance to Ischia Ponte and Ischia Port with bars, restaurants and shops. Free parking available outside the hotel. Great view from the rooftop terrace.
The location was perfect, between Ischia porto and ponte, 20/25 min walk from the port and 10 min from the castle and its restaurant area. The staff was absolutely amazing, everyone was kind and available to answer any questions regarding the island. A beautiful and clean family owned hotel.
the staff is exceptionally friendly!!! they helped us with everything and we even made friends :) the hotel is nice and very clean, just as the pool plus a lot of space to hang out. the bathroom was the only lesser thing, but it’s common in Italy. we had a nice stay!!
Spacious, luminous room, comfy bed, large bathroom with a good shower. Nice breakfast room with view, the lady was very kind and the breakfast choice was limited but good. The B&B is situated in Ischia Ponte, the older area of the town.
Very helpful staff. Location was very convenient and on the bus line. Hotel provided beach slippers and bathrobes. Good breakfast. Free access to spa. Being able to use facilities at the sister hotel nearby was a nice touch.
loved the ambience, views, gardens. the breakfast was the best breakfast in our entire trip to Italy. the bread and pastries were fantastic and the salads were so fresh. I’d stay again just for the breakfast
The hotel had a luxury feel about it. The restaurant, pool area, gardens, beach area and other public spaces were wonderful as were all of the staff. Our room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet.
