The rooms are spacious and well equipped, the balconies are nice (for the ones with the view). The breakfast is pretty good, the ricotta was to die for. Once upon a time, this hotel was probably really nice with a great view.

We had a lovely room with typically large doors opening onto a well-sized patio with lounges overlooking the ocean. The room was clean and spacious. The bath and shower were a bit small but did not deter from our experience. The restaurant that was adjacent to the hotel was excellent. Sergio was a wonderful host.

Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do.
Super far away from any near town or city. Not much to do. Beaches are not nice here but there is a harbour where you can get an expensive boat trip to Capri. No buses around and taxi is ridiculously expensive... however a beautiful little village if you like peace and quiet and don't want to leave your accommodation at all for the trip. The nearest beach was Puolo beach (10 minute drive) which had dirty water, lots of boats and rentable chairs but no regular sandy beach space and quite far off if you don't take a taxi all the way there.

Massa Lubrense is a beautiful village right out side Sorrento. The views are stunning and it feels very immersed into the community, rather than the touristy atmosphere in Sorrento. There are plenty of restaurants and little shops near by. Would recommend Scooters or a Rental car however, because the busses in this region are not as reliable, but no matter where you stay in Almafi, that would be the case.

Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly...
Fantastic views, plenty of good restaurants, friendly locals, but we hadnt realised it was quite so hilly.. and getting used to the Italian style of driving takes a while.. particlularly on the narrow mountain/hill roads with their hairpin bends and steep climbs, enough without someone parked on your bumper trying to get past on a blind bend.. Sorrento was particularly hectic, even at 24:00, often without any clear right of way or give way signs...tbh a nightmare to drive through at that particlular time, look on youtube for driving video to Amalfi, Sorrento etc for proper preview of conditions
Beaches although nice, with clear water were mostly pebble, and if you go in the water, watch out for the (small) jellyfish.. I had only been in the water a few minutues, about to go swim and got a sting across my leg.. ok it wasnt a Portugese Man o War but it wasnt expected.. no real pain, just an unexpected and unwanted surprise.. All I can say is research well and make sure you are comfortable with driving conditions and pebble beaches.. also for the better beach areas you often have to pay!

There are many hills in the city's territory, therefore it is large. The city is silent and quiet. The distance to Sorrento is very short, and we found better to stay in Massa. What is not good - too many pieces of city roads are in bad condition and not illuminated at nights.
Excellent studio completely detached from other buildings. Everything (building, furniture, appliances) was brand new and in perfect condition. Nice outside area with stretchers by the trees. Close walking distance to several nice restaurants, small food stores, bakeries, ice cream parlour, etc. Short drive (10km/6mi) to Sorrento on one side of the peninsula and to Positano on the other side. Easy pick-up by tour busses/vans covering the region. Very friendly hosts, easily accessible and that make you feel at home.
The hotel was absolutely gorgeous. Perfection location, about 15 minutes bus journey from Sorrento with regular busses running a 10 minute walk away. Lovely quiet area, with access to a gorgeous private beach & a lovely pool. Everything you need just a short walk away, including a supermarket, restaurants and cafe. Right beside a gorgeous marina and the hotel staff booked boat tours for his, which was very helpful. The maids at the properly could not have done enough and the rooms were very clean and comfortable.
The staff were so friendly from the moment we checked in and received our welcome drink right up until we checked out. We had one of the tasting menu's in the restaurant for dinner with wine pairing, the servers were so attentive and very knowledgable about the history of the wine. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from and the view made it all the better. The hotel is situated in the most stunning location and the sunset was just the best end to an amazing trip. I can't wait to go back next year!
Very comfortable and well-kept apartment with all amenities and close to bus and shops. Excellent location and well located for easy access to Sorrento, Positano and the most enchanting places on the coast. The stay was even more pleasant thanks to Luca, the owner, wonderful and extremely helpful person, attentive to every need, who also gave us excellent advice. If you want to visit Capri, Amalfi coast, etc , Luca can help you organise a very nice tour!
Really satisfied, we will definitely be back!
Marco who runs the hotel is amazing. He took time to greet us and is friendly and knowledgeable. He helped us coordinate excursions to the Amalfi coast. He offered to drive us into Sorrento when we needed. He was of service, and helpful when one of our family members became ill. He enhanced our experience. We also enjoyed the daily light Italian breakfast provided. And the property is steps away from the ocean. The St. Rapael restaurant is amazing. Great atmosphere and food.
Everything is perfect for a few days escape and indulgence in the beauties of south Italy. The views overlooking Naples bay and Capri island, the well set and rich food and drinks menus, the endless-design cozy swimming pool. And what really put all of this together and made it a very pleasant time is the hotel’s staff all of them worked friendly and professionally exceeding all expectations throughout the stay.
The location was phenomenal - close enough to the chaos but we didn’t need to be in the chaos.
The staff were so friendly, we loved Francesco giving us some amazing tips, his general please tell warning father figure nature. Everyone really was super helpful and we loved every bit of the stay.
The food was incredible, probably the best we had in Italy that we ate there almost everyday
Situated in an old fishing village, right on the beach…. 8 restaurants within 500ft. This place isn’t spoilt yet (like Positano is). There’s a tiny square with a couple of shops so it’s QUIET!! If you want to relax, eat good & be away from the crowds, then this is the place. The hotel is wonderful, very clean, lovely staff & a great breakfast (they also have a beautiful restaurant)
Very clean and well-furnished room, nice terrace
Beautiful view on the sea and Capri, Ischia.
Also the room is very stylish. The hosts are very welcoming and ready to help you.
The beach is only in 6 min down the road.
Tip: there is a short pedestrian path from the property to the center of Massa Lubrense, useful for those without a car!
beautiful lodging impeccably clean all furnished with excellent kitchen and washer outside drying rack.
easy bus access to sorrento and from there to rest of almafi and napoli . very reasonable price .
Enrica was a very kind and sweet helpful host she assisted us in all of our needs will be back thank you .
It couldn’t be better, just perfect!!! We had our best time in this hotel. The view in the terrace is amazing. The facilities are well. I enjoy seeing the sunset in the swimming pool …I must say the friendly host is like a superman, he cooks very well, he plants many things…I will definitely come again!
The host was very, very helpful. He came to pick us up in Massa Lubrense and carried our luggage in his car. Gave us suggestions, and a couple of bus tickets, and also helped us book a tour of Capri Island. We had a great chat. Thanks to Mr. Sabato for the excellent experience!
First time in Italy. Villa il Turro is a magical place. Rooms are clean and full of history. Garden with the sunset will take your breath away. Breakfast is a best set up we ever had. Host is very sweet and nice. Will come back and recommend to everybody. Thank you so much 💓
Small hotel right on the marina front. Big family room with beautiful sea view. Staff friendly and helpful. Reasonable price. We paid the same price for 4 nights as for 1 night in Sorrento.Great diving centre 2 minutes away if you want to snorkel or scuba dive.
It is one of the best stays in Italy. Very comfortable room. The check-in from 13:00 was a bonus with the rainy weather. Location is close enough to the tourist attractions, but out of the busyness. The restaurant down the road was excellent.
Nestled away in the hills of Massa Lubrense. Beautiful area and view from property. Luigi, the owner, makes you feel like family and assists in every way possible. Be it transfers or recommendations.
The staff was super friendly and helpful. Luigi is a perfect host. The room and the whole place was very clean. We had the best breakfast in italy. I can only recommend the accommodation to everyone.
Quiet surroundings, welcome by staff, sunset view, a lot of outside space, vincinity to Sorrento & Massa Lubrense. It was absolutely perfect and amazing
