Menthon-Saint-Bernard is a very small town but it has a bar, restaurants, bakers and a well-stocked "local" supermarket. People very friendly! Where nearby Annecy is a beautiful, bustling city, Menthon is better for those who prefer the relative peace of the lake and mountains, yet is only a half hour drive into the city. There is also a bus service. Obviously very popular with cyclists, it is a VERY cycle-friendly place! There were lots of annoying roadworks at the time of our visit. We ate at the hotel and at the Chalet by the lake - nice, chilled pub-grub type food.DAPHNEFrance - 10Scored 10

The size of the bed was huge and accommodated for our dog with no issues (as he likes to sleep with us). The hotel is just renovated and everything was new. Room service and staff were exceptionally friendly. Also, there's a ground floor that allows you to bypass the reception on the 1st floor, if you need to sneak our with a pet. The territory was great for a short walk with the dog before sleep. The nearby park (The Rock) is a good an quiet place to walk.AndreyUnited Kingdom

Sadly our stay was too short but we had a lovely dinner in the gastronomic restaurant which wasn’t too much in any respect. Breakfast the next morning was good. Our room was good and comfortable- needed more shower gel then provided and we were lacking milk for coffee in the morning but little things. All round very lovely and would stay again.

The spa was closed when we were so I can not say but I'm sure it's great because I looked at it. The beach is beautiful and there is so much to do in the area - cycling, hiking, eating, water sports, relaxing, and more.
