I booked the room to take off on a three day hike early the morning thereafter, and for this the hotel was just fine.
The location - very close to the train station, and in the centre of the town.
The breakfast was just fine - lots of varied fresh fruit, decent coffee, normal French bread and baguette, ham and cheese. (But that's it, nothing special, no freshly cooked eggs or the like.)
Very spacey room and bathroom.
Beds, duvets and pillows very good.
Shower: water pressure good, lots of room.

Village Vacances is in a part of the Vosges that is rarely visited by tourists. They are missing out. The hotel was OK as a stopover on the way back from Switzerland to the English Channel with a welcoming pool in the record breaking temperatures.
Central location
Parking (Free after 7pm I think, until 9am the next morning & it's all on-street parking across the road from the hotel. Plenty of space)
Breakfast
Huge windows in room that opened to let the air in
Clean modern hotel with a fantastic restaurant and safe parking for our motorbikes.
Swimming pool and extra rooms recently added along with outdoor seating area.
Great location for exploring the area.
Great staff.
Really disapointed. There was a good italian restaurant down the street, that compensated a bit. The girls in the hotel where very friendly but communication was a problem.
